Call to Makers promoted the inauguration of the CO Architects Furniture Design Workshop, presenting furniture conceived through reuse methods, upcycling, and innovative manual techniques by the first cohort of the program.
Furniture creation process
Over a nine-month period, participants, working individually or in groups, developed and built unique items. These were made using materials that were recovered, rescued, and repurposed. The creations range in size, from benches to dining tables, demonstrating the creative potential of material intelligence, economical manufacturing, and practical production.
Exhibition objectives
The show aims to celebrate the culture of making, craftsmanship, collaboration, and creativity promoted by CO Architects. The launch event will include a debate panel with workshop members and guests, addressing themes such as the design process, manufacturing obstacles, and the importance of manual production in the field of architecture.
Invitation and duration
Architects, designers, and the general public are encouraged to visit the exhibition to see the works and understand the narratives behind each piece. The show will remain open to the public until August 10th.
