Olhar Digital presents a summary of the additions to Disney+ in Brazil during the period of July 27 to August 2, 2026. During this interval, the streaming platform will receive a variety of content, including new series, movies, unreleased episodes, and live broadcasts.
Weekly Highlights
Among the most important releases this week are the arrival of the movie The Devil Wears Prada 2 and the start of the series Fury. Additionally, the catalog will be enriched with new episodes of X-Men '97 and A Shop for Assassins, and there will be a live broadcast of the Lollapalooza Chicago 2026 festival.
Release Details
On Monday, July 27, the series Fury premieres its first season, covering episodes 1, 2, and 3. This production, an original from Hulu and classified as police, drama, and suspense, is created by Elizabeth Meriwether. The plot follows FBI agent Alice Black (played by Emmy Rossum) in her pursuit of a mysterious and calculating serial killer, where the journeys of the two protagonists converge, making the distinction between good and evil increasingly ambiguous.
On Wednesday, July 29, Disney+ will bring new chapters from two series. X-Men '97 launches episode 7 of the second season, an original animation from Marvel Animation. In this second season, the team of mutants is scattered across various eras while searching to return home. Simultaneously, a new wave of intolerance against mutants emerges in the 1990s, forcing the X-Men to face new adversaries and challenges.
Also on this date, A Shop for Assassins makes episodes 3 and 4 of the second season available. With Jian taking control of the shop and Jinman having been resurrected, the group must deal with the Babylon organization, which plans revenge by sending a new wave of deadly assassins to eliminate their enemies.
The movie The Devil Wears Prada 2, produced by 20th Century Studios, also arrives in the catalog. In it, Andy Sachs (Anne Hathaway) returns to Runway magazine as a special features editor and reunites with her former boss, Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep). This reunion puts the future of the magazine's editorial empire at risk, featuring old and new characters.
Events and Sports
Live events include the broadcast of Lollapalooza Chicago 2026, which will take place from July 30 to August 2 and will be shown live on Hulu on Disney+. Additionally, the ESPN sports section on Disney+ will maintain coverage of competitions such as the Brazilian Série B Championship (2026 season), Copa Sudamericana playoffs before the round of 16, and the ATP and WTA 500 tournaments in Washington tennis, in addition to NASCAR programming.
Despite these releases, as of the time of publication, Disney+ had not yet released its official premiere schedule for August. The article will be updated if new release dates for August 1st and 2nd are announced.
