The weather will undergo transformations in various Brazilian locations this weekend. Inmet anticipates the occurrence of storms, thunderstorms, and potential hail between Saturday, the 25th, and Monday, the 27th, primarily affecting the South, Southeast, and Midwest regions.
While some areas will face intense precipitation, other parts of the national territory will show a predominance of dry weather and a decrease in atmospheric humidity, especially in the interior of the states.
On Saturday, the locations with the highest probability of storms include eastern Mato Grosso do Sul, northern Paraná, São Paulo, southern Minas Gerais, extreme south of Goiás, as well as points in Rio de Janeiro and Espírito Santo. According to the National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet), these conditions are caused by the presence of a surface trough over the interior of the South Region and a low-pressure zone near the Southeast coast.
The main warnings issued for the coming days include storms with hail risk in the South, Southeast, and Midwest regions; a reduction in rainfall in the Northeast region; the return of instabilities to Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina; and an increase in low humidity in inland areas of Brazil.
For Sunday, a new low-pressure system, positioned between northern Argentina and Paraguay, is expected to contribute to the resurgence of rains in the South. Simultaneously, the South Atlantic Subtropical High will intensify its influence over parts of the Southeast and Northeast, helping to maintain more stable weather in these areas.
In the North Region, rains remain concentrated in the states of Amazonas, Roraima, and northwestern Pará. The heat and high humidity typical of the Amazon can also generate isolated showers in other locations.
Rondônia, southeastern Pará, and Tocantins should monitor the low relative air humidity during the afternoon. Among the capitals, Rio Branco and Porto Velho may record minimum temperatures of 21°C, while Palmas is projected to reach 36°C.
In the Northeast, the forecast points to a decrease in rainfall. Although the coastal strip covering Alagoas, Pernambuco, Paraíba, and Rio Grande do Norte may still register precipitation, the interior should maintain firm weather.
In the Southeast, São Paulo, south-central Minas Gerais, west of Rio de Janeiro, and southwest of Espírito Santo are among the areas with the possibility of storms on Saturday. However, in the following days, the trend is toward the progression of dry weather.
In the South Region, rains will regain strength starting Sunday, mainly impacting Rio Grande do Sul and the southern areas of Santa Catarina. In Paraná, rainfall events should be more sporadic.
Expected temperatures vary significantly, ranging from 11°C in Curitiba (PR) to 36°C in Cuiabá (MT). Inmet emphasizes that the forecast may change as the meteorological systems advance.
Light rains have been observed in various parts of Delhi-NCR in recent days. During the period from July 11 to July 24, about 25 mm of precipitation was recorded in Delhi. Currently, Safdarjung has registered 156.3 mm of rain for July, which is below the annual average of 195.8 mm.
According to the meteorological service Skymet Weather, a western disturbance is active over the hilly regions at upper atmospheric levels. Additionally, due to the influence of a wind shear zone, a low-pressure area has formed over southeastern Rajasthan and adjacent Madhya Pradesh. This has led to the southward shift of the monsoon trough.
Skymet predicts that the monsoon trough will gradually start moving northward. There is a possibility that it will reach the latitude of Delhi by Sunday and remain there for approximately four to five days. Specifically, heavy rains are possible in some parts of Delhi between July 26 and July 28.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), variable cloudiness is expected in Delhi-NCR on Saturday, with light rain possible during the day or evening. The maximum temperature in Delhi is forecasted to be between 35°C and 37°C, and the minimum between 23°C and 25°C. In many places, the minimum temperature may be below normal, while the maximum temperature in most areas of Delhi is likely to be within the normal range.
The meteorological map will remain divided between Friday, the 24th, and Saturday, the 25th. According to Inmet, precipitation will continue to affect parts of the South, Southeast, North, and Northeast, while dry air will intensify in the Central region of the country.
The forecast establishes two very different scenarios: in some areas there will be showers and thunderstorms, while in others the relative humidity of the air will be below 20%.
Favorable conditions for rain are maintained by the interaction of a stationary front, a low-pressure zone near the Southeast coast, and a surface trough. This implies rain in São Paulo, Paraná, Mato Grosso do Sul, southern Minas Gerais, as well as parts of Rio de Janeiro and Espírito Santo.
In the North region, Saturday is expected to have the highest rainfall volumes between Amazonas and Roraima, with expectations of thunderstorms. There is also a possibility of isolated rains in Amapá, Acre, and central-north Pará.

In contrast to the rain in other areas, Goiás and Mato Grosso remain under the influence of a dry air mass. In these locations, Inmet predicts that relative humidity may drop to less than 20% during the afternoons.
The institute issued potential danger alerts for low humidity covering Goiás, Mato Grosso, Federal District, Southern Pará, and Tocantins, as well as Western Bahia and parts of Piauí and Maranhão. In these municipalities, the weather is expected to be stable throughout the period.
In addition to climatic differences, temperatures are also expected to show great variation. Curitiba will be the capital with the lowest minimum, recording 12°C on Friday, and its maximum will be only 15°C, rising to 23°C on Saturday.
In São Paulo, the temperature should not exceed 19°C on Friday. In Rio de Janeiro, the thermal variation will occur between 16°C and 28°C. In the North region, Palmas may reach 36°C, being the highest maximum forecast among the capitals. Cuiabá should reach 35°C, and Teresina 34°C.
Inmet's forecast signals that the coming days will be marked by this contrast. While part of the national territory will be under the influence of the stationary front, another part will have firm weather and low humidity. Due to these regional disparities, conditions can change significantly from one location to another, reinforcing the need to follow the institute's updates before any travel or outdoor activity.
The National Meteorological Center issued an orange alert due to the approach of Typhoon Noul, classified as the 12th typhoon of the year by Chinese nomenclature. At 05:00 local time, the system was located approximately 560 kilometers northeast of Manila, exhibiting maximum winds of 18 meters per second at its center and a minimum pressure of 998 hectopascals.
Forecasts indicate that the system will move west, with a tendency towards northwest, at an estimated speed between 25 and 30 kilometers per hour. Noul is expected to gradually intensify before entering the northeast of the South China Sea between tonight and Saturday morning.
Subsequently, the typhoon is expected to approach the coasts of Guangdong and Fujian provinces, potentially making landfall in the area between Zhuhai, which borders Macau, and Zhangpu. In these locations, winds could reach between 33 and 40 meters per second, already at typhoon intensity, before changing direction to the north and losing strength.
Between this morning and Saturday, the Meteorological Center anticipates strong winds in several areas, including the northeast of the South China Sea, the Bashi Channel, waters east of Taiwan, the Taiwan Strait, the southern East China Sea, and the provinces of Fujian and Guangdong.
Taiwan's Central Meteorological Administration had already issued a maritime warning on Thursday night due to Noul, alerting ships transiting the Bashi Channel, near Pratas Island, and in the southern part of the Taiwan Strait. The outer bands of the typhoon may cause heavy rainfall in eastern and southern Taiwan, with local volumes predicted between 100 and 140 millimeters. Meanwhile, China's Guangdong province forecasts even heavier precipitation between Saturday night and Sunday, including torrential downpours in its eastern region.
Additionally, the National Maritime Observatory issued a yellow alert regarding sea agitation, predicting waves of five to seven meters in the northeast of the South China Sea and three to five meters in the Taiwan Strait. Noul's arrival occurs less than two weeks after Typhoon Bavi passed, which resulted in 135 casualties in Taiwan, forced the evacuation of over 1.7 million people in China's Zhejiang province, and caused disruptions to operations at several airports in eastern China.
