A delegation led by Mustafa Tuzju, Deputy Minister of Trade of the Republic of Turkey, visited Uzbekistan. During the visit, Akram Aliyev, Deputy Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan, and Mustafa Tuzju held a meeting of the working group on the preferential trade agreement between the two countries.
Discussion and Agreements
During the meetings, the issue of expanding the list of goods subject to application in the preferential trade system based on the principles of equality was discussed in detail. The parties reached an agreement to conclude the third round of negotiations.
Signing of Documentation
In addition, a final memorandum was signed, enshrining the achieved results regarding the inclusion of additional commodity categories beneficial to both sides. It was emphasized that the decisions made are an important step towards revitalizing mutual trade and expanding export-import volumes, as well as achieving a turnover volume of 5 billion dollars.
