Go Türkiye has announced a collaboration between Sıla Türkoğlu and Serkan Çayoğlu. The Turkish Tourism Promotion Agency (TGA) is expanding its globally successful Go Türkiye storytelling campaign by presenting a new mini-series featuring two of Turkey's most recognizable television personalities.
The new production aims to introduce the international audience to the country's cultural and historical treasures. According to Turkish entertainment industry journalist Birsen Altuntaş, the project will be created by Süreç Film studio and will be the first joint work of Türkoğlu and Çayoğlu under the Go Türkiye umbrella. This initiative aligns with TGA's strategy of combining cinematic narrative with tourism promotion through mini-series filmed in various regions of Turkey featuring popular actors.
Yunus Ozan Korkut has been appointed as the project director, who recently gained attention for his work on the TRT series 'Operasyon Alesta'. Turkish media reports that filming will focus on Ankara, Konya, and Afyonkarahisar. Instead of following the traditional format of a television drama, the emphasis will be placed on the rich combination of history, architecture, gastronomy, natural landscapes, and cultural heritage of these regions.
Although plot details and character descriptions have not yet been revealed, it is expected that the mini-series will maintain the signature approach of Go Türkiye. These projects are not ordinary tourism advertisements; they weave romance, mystery, and adventure into short cinematic stories that organically showcase attractions through the journeys of the main characters.
This announcement comes amid the ongoing international expansion of the Go Türkiye Mini-Series initiative. According to TGA data, the series has garnered over 8.2 billion views and 4.8 billion impressions worldwide, making it one of Turkey's largest digital tourism campaigns. Since its launch, the initiative has released a series of works featuring leading Turkish actors from different parts of the country, each designed to present local culture and attractions to the international public through fictional plots.
Past works of the campaign include 'İstanbul My Love', 'Antalya Gambit', 'Hidden Lover', 'An İstanbul Story', and 'Turquoise Summer', each highlighting a unique region while blending cinematic visuals with local culture. Recently, 'Whispers of Origins' was released, starring Engin Altan Düzyatan and Özge Gürel, which introduces the historic cities of southeastern Turkey: Adıyaman, Gaziantep, Şanlıurfa, Mardin, and Diyarbakır.
The inclusion of Ankara, Konya, and Afyonkarahisar indicates a new shift in the campaign's focus, taking it beyond Turkey's well-known coastal destinations and emphasizing the country's internal cultural heritage. Ankara offers visitors a mix of republican history and modern city life; Konya is internationally known for its connection to Mevlana Jalaluddin Rumi and centuries-old Seljuk architecture; and Afyonkarahisar is famous for its thermal tourism, historic fortress, and distinctive culinary traditions.
For Sıla Türkoğlu, this project adds another high-profile role to her rapidly developing career following the international success of the series 'Kızılcık Şerbeti' (Cranberry Tea), where she gained a large global fanbase for her role as Doğa. Meanwhile, Serkan Çayoğlu remains one of Turkey's most recognized actors internationally due to a number of successful television dramas and digital projects that have reached audiences in Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America.
Neither TGA nor the production crew has disclosed an official premiere date, number of episodes, or initial footage. However, Turkish media reports that production preparations are ongoing, and the series is expected to continue Go Türkiye's mission of promoting the country's destinations through cinematic storytelling featuring world-renowned Turkish television stars.
A delegation led by Mustafa Tuzju, Deputy Minister of Trade of the Republic of Turkey, visited Uzbekistan. During the visit, Akram Aliyev, Deputy Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan, and Mustafa Tuzju held a meeting of the working group on the preferential trade agreement between the two countries.
During the meetings, the issue of expanding the list of goods subject to application in the preferential trade system based on the principles of equality was discussed in detail. The parties reached an agreement to conclude the third round of negotiations.
In addition, a final memorandum was signed, enshrining the achieved results regarding the inclusion of additional commodity categories beneficial to both sides. It was emphasized that the decisions made are an important step towards revitalizing mutual trade and expanding export-import volumes, as well as achieving a turnover volume of 5 billion dollars.
