The event was attended by the leadership of the Central Council of the party, deputies elected to the Legislative Chamber of the Supreme Majlis and to regional, district (city) Councils of People's Deputies, as well as activists and specialists in the field of ecology. Initially, participants familiarized themselves with the work of the Samarkand Region Council of People's Deputies.
The Chairman of the Council spoke about the ongoing work, comprehensive territorial development, handling public appeals, and exercising deputy oversight. The contribution of deputies elected from the Uzbekistan Ecology Party to the work of the Council and its standing committees, as well as the activities of the party's deputy group, were also analyzed.
Abdushukur Hamzaev, Chairman of the Central Council of the Uzbekistan Ecology Party and head of the party faction in the Legislative Chamber of the Supreme Majlis, emphasized that environmental problems are global. He stated that it is crucial for party deputies to be active in ensuring the implementation of laws, regulatory legal acts, state programs, and Presidential decrees adopted to protect the environment in the country, and to effectively exercise deputy control.
A. Hamzaev added that each deputy has specific tasks and goals based on the party program and voter demands. He noted that there are many dedicated people in Samarkand who work with selflessness to fulfill these tasks. The forum planned to disseminate the experience of such deputies and discuss upcoming issues.
Afterward, forum participants learned about the activities of 'Yettilik' in the Devori Kundalang district of Samarkand city and held an open dialogue with residents. The party leader noted that reforms aimed at bringing the mahalla system to a new level, strengthening the activities of 'mahalla yettiligi,' and turning the mahalla into an important pillar between the state and society place a great responsibility on deputies. Public requests to deputies and issues causing them concern were reviewed.
Work on home and street improvement, expansion of green areas, encouragement of planting picturesque trees, ensuring sanitary and ecological cleanliness in districts, proper waste management, and raising the population's ecological culture were discussed.
As part of the forum, the Uzbekistan Ecology Party visited the Orif Gulkhaniy house-museum in the Khoja Ahror Valiy district of Samarkand city to learn about the work being carried out under the 'Beautified Home' project. Mukimjon Orifi, a representative of the third generation of flower breeders, makes a significant contribution to the preservation and propagation of endangered species of flowers and plants in his home, as well as popularizing floriculture among the general public.
His father and family members grew over 900 thousand rare trees, flowers, and seedlings this year, which were donated to the public and organizations. To increase the younger generation's love for nature, the ecological action 'One Age - 10 Flowers' was organized, during which 5 thousand flower seedlings were distributed among educational institutions. Additionally, flowers and ornamental trees are delivered to mahallas in Samarkand city.
The ecological initiative of this household was recognized by the party, and it was emphasized that such exemplary experience should be widely disseminated in other regions and efforts to preserve rare plant species supported.
The forum continued with a discussion of the annual activity report for the first half of the current year with the participation of party leadership and activists. Special attention was paid to the responsibility of local deputies to voters and their role in ensuring the interests of the people. It was emphasized that deputy activity requires regular communication with voters, studying issues that cause them concern, and presenting practical initiatives to solve them.
It was also noted that one of the key duties of every deputy is to conduct an in-depth analysis of existing environmental problems in the districts, study the causes of their occurrence, and take concrete measures to eliminate them.
Abdushukur Hamzaev reported that the local Councils of Samarkand region held 217 meetings and open dialogues with the public since the beginning of the year. Of the 262 issues raised, 119 were resolved positively. Furthermore, 73 deputy inquiries were sent, and 95 issues were submitted for discussion in the Councils and standing committees. However, he stressed that this work needs to be revitalized not only within their electoral district but also regarding all environmental issues in the region.
At the end of the forum, specific tasks were set to further improve the effectiveness of deputy oversight, strengthen executive discipline, and ensure the timely fulfillment of citizens' appeals and deputy inquiries.
To conclude the event, deputies demonstrating active and exemplary activity were recognized, and the Central Council of the Uzbekistan Ecology Party presented them with letters of gratitude.

The Islamic Republic of Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps reported that a strike was carried out on a US military facility located in the Al-Tanf area of Syria on Saturday.
According to state media of the Islamic Republic, this attack was conducted as an act of retaliation for the deaths of local soldiers in Aranshahr. Official confirmation of this information is currently unavailable.
Reuters stated that it could not conduct an independent verification of the situation. US military forces and the Syrian government also made no comments on the matter. It was previously known that the American army had completely left the base in Al-Tanf, which was located at a strategic point on the border of Syria, Jordan, and Iraq in February of this year.
Currently, the Syrian leadership seeks to avoid interference in the regional conflict affecting neighboring states. It is known that Hezbollah in neighboring Lebanon is engaged in combat operations against the Israeli army, while armed groups linked to Iran continuously strike US bases in Iraq with drones and missiles.
President Ahmad al-Sharrah emphasized at an event by the Chatham House analytical center in London in March that the country will remain aloof from any turmoil if neither side initiates direct attacks on Syrian territory.
Iranian military forces announced full control of the Strait of Hormuz by the Tehran command, which is of strategic importance. State media warns that if strikes from the US continue, no oil or gas exports will be permitted through this waterway.
