Kamal Yavuz Ataman's book 'Uzbekistan as I Know It' presented from the perspective of intellectuals

The renowned Uzbek cultural figure and recipient of the 'Dostlik' order, Shuhrat Orif, has released his book titled 'Maktubdir Umrim' in the Azerbaijani language in Baku.

Book Composition and Translation

According to information from the press department of the Union of Writers of Uzbekistan, well-known representatives of literature and culture from Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan were involved in the editorial board. The book was translated into Azerbaijani by the poet-publicist and member of the Azerbaijan Writers Union, Shokhmamed Tog'larugli, as well as by Akbar Qo'shali, a laureate of the International Literary Prize 'Alash.'

Significance of the Publication

A presentation of the book is planned to be held in the city of Shusha. Shuhrat Orif's works have already been translated into more than ten languages worldwide, reaching international readers. The publication of 'Maktubdir Umrim' in Azerbaijani has become one of the literary processes strengthening literary ties between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan.

Features of Orif's Work

The uniqueness of Shuhrat Orif's work lies in his ability to combine delicate feelings and experiences with deep life observations and philosophical reflections. His poems and epics, taken from collections such as 'Shom tovushi', are filled with life conclusions and a desire to deeply understand the world and human nature. In his work, Uzbek traditions of high poetic art are skillfully connected with modern literary and aesthetic needs and new interpretations.

The poet's lyricism comes from the heart, rich in bright colors and fiery motives. He reveals the most hidden and tender facets of the human soul through sincere confessions and suffering. The author expresses the complex human soul and inner experiences with simple, yet very touching, lively, and figurative words.

In connection with the onset of abnormally hot days across the country, the press service of the SSV provided information from the director of the Republican Center for Emergency Medical Care, Abduvoitzhon Gafurov, regarding the operation of the '103' service and the number of calls received under extreme heat conditions.

Vulnerable population groups

Gafurov emphasized that in such weather conditions, citizens with chronic cardiovascular or respiratory diseases or diabetes, as well as the elderly, pregnant women, and children, are particularly sensitive. Therefore, it is extremely important that these categories of the population undergo medical check-ups and receive emergency assistance when necessary.

Service statistics and responsibility

Director Abduvoitzhon Gafurov noted that considering the exacerbation of chronic diseases due to intense heat, the responsibility of emergency medical service employees increases. He reported that over the last four days when abnormal heat was observed, a total of 166,726 calls were received by the '103' service across the republic. All appeals are accepted in the established manner, and patients receive the necessary medical care in a timely manner.

Call dynamics and recommendations

Despite the heat, the trend in call arrivals remained stable. Thanks to recommendations disseminated through mass media and social networks by responsible organizations, citizens did not show a sharp increase in the number of calls compared to the previous four days (July 9–12). Specialists advise the population to avoid going outside during the hottest hours of the day, consume enough water, limit the consumption of fatty, fried, and overly salty food, and prefer easily digestible dishes and vegetable salads.
