At the Asian Chess Championship held in China, children and teenagers aged 8 to 18 participated. In this tournament, organized for the 28th time, chess players from Uzbekistan secured prize positions and earned rating points.
Scale of the Event and Country Participation
Approximately 900 chess players from 31 countries took part in the championship, including 21 members of the Uzbekistan national team who competed for prizes and rating points. The Chinese national team had the largest number of participants—358 people. Following them in terms of participants were Vietnam (80), Russia (62), Kazakhstan (60), India (34), Sri Lanka (24), and Mongolia (23).
