The organizers of the Destination music and lifestyle festival Rocking the Daisies have announced the cancellation of the event in 2026. They explained that a number of unforeseen circumstances beyond their control made holding the festival impossible.
In an official statement, the organizers noted that the decision was not easy and expressed gratitude to all their fans, artists, partners, and those who were expecting the festival this year.
Previously, American rapper Izeah Rashid and British singer George Smith were announced as headliners for the festival, which takes place in Cape Town. Despite the cancellation of Rocking the Daisies, the organizers reported that the In The City platform will hold one-day concerts in Johannesburg and Cape Town.
The organizers stated that refunds will be processed automatically, and the funds should reach fans' accounts within one to three business days. Furthermore, they clarified that although Rocking The Daisies will not take place, an alternative one-day show will be announced through the IN THE CITY platform in JHB and CPT featuring local and international favorites.
Izeah Rashid will still perform in South Africa at the In The City event, scheduled for October 3 and 4 in Cape Town and Johannesburg. Tickets for In The City became available today, and the organizers thanked fans for their continued support.
