The most difficult period of summer has begun, when air temperatures reach about 45 degrees, and people seek shade and coolness. Under such conditions, watering young seedlings becomes not just an agrotechnical measure, but a vital action for maintaining ecological stability and ensuring clean air for future generations.
According to the Hydrometeorological Service, some areas are experiencing the influence of very hot air currents, where temperatures rise to 44–46 degrees. In these conditions, preserving crops, preventing the death of recently planted seedlings, and ensuring a comfortable microclimate in both cities and rural areas become critically important tasks.
In the Zhizakh region, this task is actively being implemented: seedlings, tree belts, lawns, and green zones along roads in urban and district centers are regularly watered early in the morning and at night according to a set schedule. The preservation of every planted tree is considered a responsible task, similar to the planting itself.
In particular, specialized equipment in the regional center ensures regular watering of main streets. This helps limit the excessive heating of asphalt pavement, mitigate the impact of heat in the air, reduce dust, and maintain a favorable ecological environment in the city.
In Sharaf district, special attention is paid to green areas around the roadway connecting Zhizakh–Pakhtakor–Tashkent. Employees of the state organization 'Zhizakh yo'lquqalam' water trees on section D050 (8–9 km) daily, creating conditions for their healthy growth. Work is also underway to improve irrigation systems.
In Zomin district, the work does not yield to the heat. Employees of the unitary enterprise 'Road Usage' take care of lawns, weed removal, and watering trees and seedlings during night shifts. Thanks to the initiative of the ecology department, measures to protect young seedlings in tree belts, flower beds, and cemeteries along roads have been strengthened.
Under drought conditions, environmental protection measures in the Zomin National Botanical Garden are also under close control. The preservation of natural water sources is ensured, and additional drinking points for wild animals and birds have been created. Furthermore, preventive measures against forest fires in the forests have been intensified.
In Druzdlik district, together with the ecology department and the landscaping department, seedlings planted along the roads are watered daily. Specialized equipment delivers up to two hundred tons of water, providing the seedlings with vital moisture.
In Pakhtakor district, seedlings planted as part of the national project 'Green Landscape' are mainly watered in the evening and at night. Specialists note that watering at this time leads to less water evaporation, allowing moisture to penetrate deeper into the root system and ensure stable seedling growth.
In Forish district, work to preserve crops is also continuing. For example, trees on the territory of kindergarten No. 17 in the village of Uchma were completely watered in the evening.
The corporation 'Regional Electric Networks' of the Zhizakh region has taken on the permanent care of 1330 Paulownia seedlings as part of the 'Green Landscape' project. They are regularly watered according to the schedule, which guarantees their healthy development.
Also in Pakhtakor district, work has been organized to water planting areas under the road crossing to SIU leading to Navbahor, according to the plan. Special attention is paid to the rational and careful use of water resources and constant monitoring of all processes.
It is important to understand that the people watering trees in the Zhizakh region today are effectively investing in the future. Since a tree does not become mature in one day, caring for it after planting, especially on dry days, is no less important than the planting itself. The survival of one tree will provide shade and clean air to thousands of people in the future.
The essence of the 'Green Landscape' project is not only planting trees but also meticulous care for each one, turning them into large trees. The systematic work carried out in the Zhizakh region is a practical manifestation of this high level of responsibility, contributing to strengthening ecological sustainability, creating a healthy environment for the population, and leaving a greener and more prosperous Motherland to future generations.
State policy in the field of food security pays special attention to ensuring the population with food products. In this regard, the active development of the livestock industry, the introduction of modern and innovative methods, and the stimulation of enterprises specializing in this area are extremely relevant tasks.
During his visit to Namangan region on June 23, the President familiarized himself with the activities of the 'Namangan Sheep Farming Cluster' in Turakurgan district. The President emphasized the significance of this enterprise for the development of animal husbandry, ensuring the domestic market with quality meat, and increasing employment, and gave an instruction for its popularization.
This project became possible due to the broad opportunities established in the President's decree of January 29, 2020, 'On additional measures to support the livestock industry.' Within the cluster, modern logistics services, veterinary and service branches, as well as retail points for direct product sales will be created, which will ensure the formation of a complete and continuous cluster chain.
Utilizing the extensive opportunities and benefits provided for livestock farming in the country, LLC 'Namangan Sheep Farming Cluster' was founded in 2026 in the village of Kumidon, Turakurgan district, under the leadership of livestock breeder Ayzamjon Usmonov on a 10-hectare plot. The cluster, with a total value of 35 million dollars, began stable operation with the goal of realizing a noble intention—supplying people's tables with affordable and high-quality meat.
This large three-stage project initially included work on building and equipping five hectares of land, and plans for the same area are planned in the near future. Currently, more than one hundred employees in the cluster take care of over 1500 animals according to modern requirements. It is planned to acclimatize the 'Arashan', 'Hisor', and 'Adelbay' breeds, imported from Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and the Kyrgyz Republic, which have high productivity, to the local climate. By the end of the year, the number of jobs should reach 280, and the livestock population should reach 50 thousand heads.
According to the entrepreneur, during the meeting with the President, it was instructed to transform the cluster into a holding company. Thus, the task has been set to increase the livestock population to 300 thousand heads by the end of 2027. Thanks to the introduction of modern breeding technologies and a scientific approach in the cluster, there is an opportunity to significantly increase both the volume and quality of meat production.
According to the project's technological indicators, by intensive rearing of sheep weighing 40-50 kilograms, imported from abroad, over three months, their weight can be increased to 100 kilograms, which will allow for up to 60-70 kilograms of pure meat from each sheep. As a result, productivity will exceed traditional livestock farming by 45-50 percent, and after the full launch of the project, the production of 35-40 thousand tons of high-quality meat will be ensured annually in the Namangan region.
The head of the 'Namangan Sheep Farming Cluster', MChZh Ayzamjon Usmonov, noted that the current price of beef is 130 thousand sums per kilogram, and mutton is 160 thousand sums. The goal is to reduce these prices by 20 percent. For this, 40 meat stores are open in the region, and in the future, meat will be supplied to markets across the country. Additionally, starting next year, the production of 50 thousand tons of organic fertilizers is planned with the involvement of advanced industries, and 200 thousand tons of feed.
In conclusion, within the cluster structure, modern logistics services, veterinary and service units, as well as retail points for direct product sales will be created, which will lead to the formation of a complete and uninterrupted cluster chain.
The 'Shohruh' Library has been commissioned in the Zomin District of Jizzakh Region—a major spiritual and educational institution designed to strengthen the culture of reading. This modern library can serve over one hundred readers simultaneously, and its collection includes more than 50 thousand works of fiction and scientific manuals.

Participants were given practical recommendations on effectively managing various emotional states that may arise during service, as well as on strengthening mutual trust and solidarity in the team and constructively resolving conflict situations.
A book exhibition, organized in the 2nd academic building of the Zhizakh Polytechnic Institute, also attracted great interest from participants. The exhibition featured works addressing themes of family values, spiritual education, patriotism, and personal self-improvement.
