Athletes from the Uzbekistan national team are competing for victories and an increase in the international ranking in singles, doubles, and mixed doubles competitions.
Matches will take place throughout today within this prestigious tournament, which is included in the calendar of the International Table Tennis Federation. The 'WTT Feeder' tournament will last until July 28.
Another stage of selection aimed at forming a suitable reserve for the national football teams of Uzbekistan took place in the Syrdarya region. As part of the Uzbekistan Football Federation's project 'We are looking for talents,' a scouting procedure was organized to assess the level of young talented footballers studying in the region's sports schools.
The selection was held at the base of the Guliston Olympic and Paralympic Training Center, Type 4 sports complex. Dishod Rakhmatov, head of the Department for Working with Uzbekistan National Team Squads of the Football Federation, along with youth and junior national team coaches Nodir Eliboyev and Shukhrat Tojiboyev, participated in the scouting work.
During trial sessions, the technical skills, physical fitness, speed, tactical thinking, decision-making ability on the field, and teamwork of the young athletes were carefully analyzed. Specialists individually assessed the potential of each participant, after which talented footballers were selected and recommended for progression to the next stages.
The main goal of the project is the early identification of capable young people in various regions, the systematic development of their skills, and the formation of a worthy reserve for the country's youth and junior national teams. This creates broad opportunities for talented footballers to begin their journey in professional sports.
According to experts, the 'We are looking for talents' project is important not only for discovering young footballers but also for popularizing football in the regions, increasing the effectiveness of coaches' work, and further improving the scouting system. This selection stage in Syrdarya was an important step forward for young players, and now the selected athletes will compete in subsequent stages for a place in the national teams.
The sports tournament started in the Moynoq district of the Karakalpakstan Republic. This Uzbekistan Youth Wrestling Championship gathered young wrestlers from various regions of the country.
About 300 athletes joined the competition from Tashkent, provinces, and the Karakalpakstan Republic itself. Within the framework of the tournament, boys will compete for the title of champion in 13 weight categories, and girls—in 9.
During the traditional opening ceremony, representatives noted the reforms being implemented in the country aimed at developing sports, particularly wrestling, attracting youth to a healthy lifestyle, and providing comprehensive support to talented athletes. All participants were wished fair competition, great victories, and high results.
This championship is organized as part of the 'Dolzarb 90 Days' project, which was initiated by the President. It serves the goals of popularizing sports among youth, organizing their free time meaningfully, and further developing wrestling traditions. It is stated that this tournament in the Moynoq district will become an important platform for discovering future champions and strengthening the spirit of friendship and sport.

The republican stage of the final for adaptive sports within the framework of the 'Besh Tashabbus Paralympics' has started at the 'Olympia Shahrchasi' sports complexes in the capital.
In these competitions, 364 athletes selected from the Karakalpakstan Republic, regions, and the city of Tashkent will compete for victory in five types of para-sports.
Upon completion of the tournament, winners and prize-winners will be awarded valuable gifts. Furthermore, for 26 winners who took first place in the republican final, the construction of modern universal sports grounds is planned in their places of residence.
