The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, strongly criticized the opposition during his visit to Shamli. He also highlighted changes in the region's situation, emphasized the importance of law and order, the dignity of the Kawand Yatra, and presented a package of development projects worth 589 crore rupees.
Visit and Regional Development
During the main event held at Vidyam College, Vijay Singh Pathik in Shamli, the minister presented significant investments to the region in the form of opening and commencing construction of projects valued at 589 crore rupees. The minister arrived at 12:00 PM by helicopter directly at the PAC Camp, where he conducted a thorough inspection before heading to the assembly site.
The primary goal of this visit was to strengthen the basic infrastructure in Shamli and accelerate the pace of development works that the government has implemented locally and presented to the public.
Changes in Shamli and Fight Against Crime
In his speech, the minister stated: 'I swore to send the mafia to hell or to jail, and when I come to Shamli-Karaiyana, it seems my oath has been fulfilled.'
Addressing religious events, the minister noted that previously, attacks and shootings could follow the chanting of 'Jai Shri Ram,' and there were bans on celebrating Janmashtami and Kawand Yatra. However, today everyone is ready to help with the service. He urged the Kawand Yatra pilgrims to remember that they are descendants of Rama and followers of Ballanath, and therefore should not cause trouble over trivial matters. He warned that any unlawful element that damages the pilgrimage should be immediately removed.
The minister recalled that ten years ago, Shamli was a symbol of danger, where demographic changes and forced displacement were carried out through conspiracies from Karaiyana and Kandhala. At that time, residents were afraid to go out, murders happened openly, and law and order was completely disrupted. Now, the fear of criminals has disappeared.
Criticism of Opposition and Transport Infrastructure
Yogi Adityanath sharply criticized the opposition parties, calling the Congress and Socialist Party 'worshippers of Zinna.' He noted that previously, people needed basic amenities like electricity, and development had stagnated. Today, Shamli is rapidly developing, becoming a confluence point for the Delhi-Dehradun, Shamli-Ambala, and Shamli-Gorishpur expressways. Furthermore, Shamli is developing in the mold of the NCR metropolitan area, becoming a part of it.
