Sona Comstar, an automotive component manufacturer, reported a 47% increase in consolidated profit after tax during the year, reaching 178.51 crore rupees in the June quarter of fiscal year 27.
According to regulatory filings, in the first quarter of fiscal year 26, the company reported a consolidated profit after tax of 121.70 crore rupees.
Operating revenue for the reporting period increased by 52%, amounting to 1,301.20 crore rupees compared to 853.90 crore rupees recorded in June of the previous fiscal year. The company also stated that the share of revenue from the Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) vertical reached a historic high of 44% in the first quarter of fiscal year 27, while total income from this segment showed strong growth of 107%.
Vivek Vikram Singh, Managing Director and CEO, noted that despite the ongoing weakness in the US electric vehicle market, the company achieved its highest quarterly revenue in history. He also announced new deals in EV, hybrid, and ICE engines covering India, Europe, and North America, as well as almost all product categories in which the company operates.
According to Singh, the June quarter of the current fiscal year marked the introduction of Sona Comstar 2.0, and the company aims to 'increase tenfold over the next decade.' As part of this strategy, the company announced its entry into robotics and physical artificial intelligence. Furthermore, a partnership with DENSO allows the company to enter high-voltage electric and hybrid power train systems, completing an important gap in the electrification portfolio.
In line with this strategy, Sona Comstar plans to accelerate the development of new product lines both organically and inorganically, strengthen focus on Eastern markets, and target another long-term pillar of technological growth alongside electrification—intelligent and connected systems.
Nestle India, a major player in the FMCG sector, reported significant growth in its figures for the June quarter of the current fiscal year. The company recorded a year-on-year growth in consolidated net profit of 48.26 percent, reaching ₹958.68 crore.
According to regulatory filings, in the corresponding period last fiscal year, the company showed a consolidated net profit of ₹646.59 crore. In the first quarter of FY27, Nestle India's revenue from product sales increased by 25.4 percent, amounting to ₹6,363.27 crore, compared to ₹5,073.96 crore the previous year.
Manish Tiwari, Chairman and CEO, noted that the strong quarter was driven by a 25.4 percent sales increase, which was attributed to higher sales volumes. He emphasized that sustained consumer trust in the company's brands and focus on execution allowed these results to be achieved. Despite ongoing geopolitical difficulties, exports demonstrated a growth of 35.6 percent.
Nestle India's total revenue in the first quarter of FY27 reached ₹6,400.65 crore, which is 25.5 percent higher than the figure in the same period last year (₹5,100.33 crore). Meanwhile, the company's total expenses in the quarter under review increased by 20.71 percent, totaling ₹5,070.03 crore.
Nestle India's domestic sales grew by 25 percent, reaching ₹6,073.05 crore in the June quarter of FY27, compared to ₹4,860.01 crore in the previous fiscal year. The company's export revenue increased by 35.64 percent, amounting to ₹290.22 crore. Nestle India's earnings report indicated that all four product groups showed confident double-digit growth, supported by high double-digit growth across all channels.
According to Tiwari, during the quarter, Nestle India continued to accelerate operational cost savings and increase investments in its brands, with advertising expenses rising by more than 40 percent. The EBITDA margin stood at 24.2 percent. At the same time, Nestle India shares were trading on BSE in the morning at ₹1,497.80, which was 3.08 percent higher than the previous day's close.
The public sector lender Reserve Bank of India reported on Friday a 13 percent increase in net profit, reaching 1324 crore rupees for the June quarter.
For the reporting period, the bank's total revenue increased to 10,678 crore rupees. This figure is higher than 10,360 crore rupees for the same period in the 2026 fiscal year. The growth in total revenue was driven by an increase in interest income.
The bank's net profit in the current quarter amounted to 1324 crore rupees, compared to 1169 crore rupees in the same quarter of the previous fiscal year. However, operating profit decreased to 2,186 crore rupees from 2,304 crore rupees the year before.
The bank demonstrated an improvement in asset quality. Gross Non-Performing Assets (NPA) reduced to 2.60 percent of gross loans as of the end of June, down from 3.13 percent the previous year. Net NPAs remained stable at 0.49 percent as of June 30, 2026.
As a result of this improvement, provisions for bad loans significantly decreased—they fell from 468 crore rupees at the end of June 2025 to 346 crore rupees.
Furthermore, the bank's capital adequacy ratio improved to 18.28 percent, showing an increase compared to 17.66 percent recorded at the end of the first quarter of the 2026 fiscal year.
LTM, formerly known as LTI Mindtree, has released its report on the first quarter of the financial year 2027. During this period, the company's net profit increased by 17%, reaching ₹1,468 crore, while revenue grew by 18% to ₹11,608 crore.
In dollar terms, the company's revenue for the period ending June 30 was $1.22 billion, demonstrating a 6.1% growth. Furthermore, growth in constant currency reached 6.4%. In a statement, the company emphasized that the first quarter results reflect progress in implementing its artificial intelligence (AI) focused strategy.
Venu Lambo, CEO and Managing Director, noted that the company's transition to an AI focus is yielding tangible results for clients, which is evident in the quality and scale of contracts being secured. Thanks to a strong order book and a healthy pipeline across various industry segments, management expressed confidence in continued growth momentum throughout the year.
Almost all verticals, except for financial services, showed positive momentum. The consumer, technology, and manufacturing verticals grew by 18.2%, 10%, and 5.3%, respectively. Financial services, conversely, recorded a negative growth of 2.5% in constant currency. Lambo added that the company's revenue from AI in the creative, business, and industrial sectors amounted to approximately $150 million based on the quarterly run rate.
The EBITDA margin also improved by 120 basis points, reaching 15.5%. The employee attrition rate remained unchanged at 13.3%, and the total number of employees slightly decreased by 64 people to 87,886. It was noted that IT companies had slowed down hiring for some time due to the unstable macroeconomic environment; however, TCS began the new fiscal year with a positive outlook on recruitment.
