Kundan Mina Achieves Success in NEET Despite Rural Hardships

Farming Instead of Studying

Kundan's father works as a teacher in a government school, and his mother is a homemaker. His father always prioritized his children's education, which led to Kundan enrolling in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in the 6th grade and studying there until the 11th grade.

However, the coronavirus pandemic and the subsequent lockdown drastically changed the situation. During the 8th and 9th grades, the family faced severe economic and social difficulties. Since Kundan was the eldest son, he decided to temporarily suspend his studies and take responsibility for the family.

Years Working in the Fields

For about a year, he stepped away from his studies and took full responsibility for managing the farm. He operated the tractor in the fields himself, handled sowing, and worked like a true farmer day and night. During that period, the fields and family duties were more important to him than books and studies.

Kundan recalls that his father fought his whole life to ensure a good education for him and his siblings. In the village atmosphere, where other activities were often valued more than studies, his father always insisted on the priority of education.

While working in the fields during the lockdown, Kundan closely observed the hard work and struggle of his father and uncle. His father often told him, 'Son, focus on your studies; we will take care of everything.' But given the family circumstances, Kundan felt it necessary to help with the agriculture.

The Turning Point and Resumption of Studies

This period of struggle became the biggest turning point in his life. It was then that he decided to do something so that his parents' efforts would pay off, and his name would bring glory to the village, the family, and the district.

After the lockdown ended, Kundan resumed his studies with renewed zeal. He caught up on the material missed in the 8th and 9th grades, putting in extra effort in the 10th grade. Thanks to consistent hard work, discipline, and self-confidence, he managed to get his education back on track.

The Path to Kota and Success

After completing the 12th grade, Kundan decided to take a year off to fulfill his dream of becoming a doctor and went to the educational center in Kota. There, he prepared for NEET at PW Vidyapeeth. Kundan notes that his performance in the 11th grade was not outstanding, but in the 12th grade, he put in tremendous effort. After achieving the best results, his confidence grew, and he completed his preparation in Kota.

He thanks his parents, teachers, and family for his success. According to him, without the support of his family, the guidance of his teachers, and self-belief, this victory would have been impossible.

There were times when his studies could have been interrupted due to the lockdown, and he worked in the fields fulfilling family responsibilities. Today, the son of this farming family has come close to his goal of becoming a doctor through his hard work, struggle, and the blessings of his parents. Kundan Mina's story serves as an inspiration to millions of students who consider difficult circumstances an obstacle on the path to their goals. This success proves that no matter how difficult the conditions, if intentions are strong, hard work is honest, and there is family support, triumph can be achieved even after leaving the field.
