The thirty-seventh Flickers International Film Festival in Rhode Island, USA, will take place from August 4 to 9, and it will feature four films from Iran.

'My Daughter's Hair' is a narrative drama scheduled for 2025. It tells the story of a girl named Raha who studies animation. When she is about to present her university project, her laptop is stolen, forcing her to cut her hair and sell it to buy a new computer. Raha's father uses the money from the hair sale to purchase a used laptop, leading the family on a mysterious adventure.
The short film 'White Flag' is a joint production of Iran and Iraq and was released in 2026. It focuses on the life of a man and a woman in a village on the Kurdistan border. They lost their son and daughter-in-law in a bombing, after which the man and woman gather the remnants of the war in the surrounding mountains and bring them home.
'Hide & Seek' is a tense and intimate short film from 2025. The story unfolds during a religious ceremony and is shown through the eyes of a ten-year-old boy. The action takes place within a traditional cultural setting, and the narrative touches upon invisible gender boundaries, unspoken taboos, and the natural curiosity of childhood.

Flickers is a non-profit arts organization that supports and promotes the art of cinema in Rhode Island and throughout New England. Over the past two decades, the festival has screened 6720 independent films and videos from 87532 submissions, presented over 1621 world/North American premieres, included more than 1350 local works, and hosted 4582 filmmakers and crew members.
