A new modern complex is operating in Nurafshan, which provides citizens with the opportunity to receive the full range of essential social services in one place. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev personally visited the facility and instructed that this practice model be expanded nationwide.
Operation of the New Center
This Social Protection Complex is the first of its kind in Tashkent region and operates under a 'one-stop shop' system. It aims to support the most vulnerable segments of the population, including the elderly, persons with disabilities, those requiring care, and families in difficult life situations.
Composition and Capabilities of the Complex
Key services are consolidated within one building: the regional department of the National Agency for Social Protection, the social inspection, the 'Inson' center of Nurafshan city, the medical-social expertise commission, and the regional center for social services. This structure allows residents to resolve all their issues without needing to contact various agencies and facing excessive bureaucracy.
According to forecasts, the complex will serve about 10,000 people annually, including not only residents of Nurafshan but also representatives from Urtachirchik, Pskent, Akkurgan, and Bukinsky districts. About 100 specialists are involved in the center's work.
Innovations and Service Development
In addition to providing standard assistance, innovative approaches are being implemented at the center, such as disability diagnosis using artificial intelligence technologies, as well as updated methodologies for social workers directly in the mahallas. Special attention is paid to expanding the list of provided services, which already include five types of social support, some of which are carried out with the participation of the non-state sector, contributing to faster adaptation of people and their return to active life.
Priorities of State Policy
The head of state emphasized that ensuring the support of the needy and their full integration into society remain the most important tasks of state policy. He noted that it is crucial not just to provide aid, but also to provide people with conditions for a full life.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev also met with volunteers of the 'Inson' movement, who presented their projects. As a result of this visit, an order was given to triple the number of similar centers across the country. The plan is to bring the total number of regional social service centers to at least 90, opening them in areas with the greatest need and good transport accessibility.
Other Projects in the Region
Previously, the president inspected large-scale landscaping works on the Karasu canal embankment in the Urtachirchik district of Tashkent region. This project, estimated at 32 billion soms, will transform the nine-kilometer embankment into a modern recreation area equipped with pedestrian paths, sports grounds, cafes, and new workplaces.
