This enterprise occupies a territory of 25.8 hectares, and the total project budget is estimated at 50 million dollars. The plant specializes in the production of military and special equipment, as well as various mechanisms under the KRANTAS trademark. Components from the USA, Germany, Italy, Sweden, Russia, China, and Turkey are used, and there are over 300 qualified specialists among the permanent employees.
Currently, the company's capacity has enabled the production of approximately 2.5 thousand tons of metal structures, over 300 automotive bodies, more than 200 chassis, and 20 tractors. Last year, the company supplied customers with products worth 275 billion soums. The enterprise intends to continue increasing the output of import-substituting products. As part of these plans, the construction of an additional plant on a 10-hectare plot has been planned in the Yangihaet district of Tashkent.
The launch of this new production base will allow for the annual localization of equipment production worth from 15 to 18 million US dollars. During his conversation with the management and engineers, the president emphasized the need to strengthen industrial cooperation and increase the share of high value-added product output.
It should be noted that during his visit to Nurafshan, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev also familiarized himself with the activities of the state university 'Cyber University' and took part in laying the foundation stone for the creation of a major Future Technologies Center.

A large-scale investment project aimed at advancing agriculture and the textile industry to a new level is being implemented in the Bukhara province. This step is expected to be an important contribution to revitalizing the desert territories, creating thousands of new jobs, increasing export potential, and widely implementing modern agricultural technologies.
In this regard, the Governor of Bukhara Province, Botir Zaripov, received a delegation led by Wang Xuntou, a representative of one of the major Chinese industrial companies, 'Lihua Group' in Uzbekistan. During the meeting, the parties discussed in detail issues of expanding cooperation, achieving high efficiency in agriculture, and actively implementing investment projects.
According to the project plan, 20 thousand hectares of land are planned to be acquired in Shofirkon district and 9 thousand hectares in Romitan district. A modern agro-industrial cluster will be created on these territories, covering the entire production cycle—from cotton cultivation to the production and processing of finished textile products.
Currently, the Chinese investors have established the limited liability company 'Zhemchuzhina Romitan,' and work on developing the 'Varakhsha' desert area in Romitan district is progressing rapidly. At the initial stage of the investment project, special attention is paid to infrastructure formation, bringing lands into agricultural circulation, and installing modern irrigation systems.
This year, cotton of the 'Xin Lu Zao-57' variety, which is part of Chinese breeding, has been planted in this area, and advanced agricultural technologies based on Shenzhen's experience are being used. In particular, methods of growing under film, water-saving technologies, and innovative agrotechnical approaches that promote increased yield, rational use of water resources, and improved product quality are being tested.
During the discussions, specific measures were defined for the timely and effective implementation of the project, and existing organizational issues were resolved. The parties reached mutually beneficial agreements regarding further expansion of partnership, increasing the volume of investments, and the widespread introduction of modern technologies into Bukhara's agriculture.
This project is viewed not just as an investment but as a strategic initiative designed to transform the deserts of Bukhara into fertile lands, form a modern agro-industrial ecosystem, and give a new impetus to the regional economy. Most significant is the expectation of creating stable jobs for hundreds and even thousands of residents through the production of high value-added products and the expansion of exports. This will be a prime example of investment cooperation and industrial development in New Uzbekistan.
New initiatives have been introduced aimed at strengthening the budgets of the mahallas. Initially, it was planned that the mahalla budgets for this year would amount to 600 billion sums.
By a Presidential decree adopted in June, the share of land and property tax paid into the mahalla was increased from 10% to 15%. Additionally, 10% of fines for violating sanitary norms and illegal construction will now go to the mahalla.
It has also been permitted for the mahallas themselves to sell buildings up to 5 thousand square meters. This will allow an increase in revenue to the mahalla budgets by another 405 billion sums.
Now, 5% of the land and property tax collected from real estate objects in the mahalla will also go directly to the mahalla itself. Thanks to this, the mahallas will receive an additional 400 billion sums annually.
During the year, 200 mahallas that demonstrate the highest number of registered entrepreneurs, create the most new jobs, have the highest level of understanding, and have found the largest tax base will be awarded 2 billion sums.
Overall, according to the new initiatives, revenues to the mahalla budgets this year will reach 1 trillion 600 billion sums, and from next year—2 trillion sums.
