The Agency of Uzbekistan for Industrial Cooperation and State Procurement held negotiations with a delegation from the Chinese company China Electronic Financial Equipment Systems (CFES). The goal of the meetings was to discuss the possibility of localizing the production of banking equipment and developing joint investment projects.
During the discussions, the main focus was on the potential to create devices in Uzbekistan such as ATMs, self-service terminals, POS terminals, and intelligent cash handling systems. The parties also considered issues of technology transfer and the implementation of modern financial solutions.
Representatives of CFES demonstrated their production capacities, international experience, and projects in the field of financial technologies. Among the presented solutions were artificial intelligence-based systems, smart bank branches, and digital financial services. The company reported that its products are used in more than 100 countries and territories.
Participants exchanged views on the prospects of localizing modern banking equipment in Uzbekistan, establishing joint manufacturing enterprises, and expanding technological cooperation. The meeting concluded with an agreement to continue bilateral dialogue, jointly develop promising projects in the field of investment and industrial cooperation, and define specific directions for future interaction.
The Deputy Minister of Construction and Housing and Communal Services of Uzbekistan, Tokhir Alimatov, held a meeting with a delegation from China. The goal of the negotiations was to discuss the integration of modern construction technologies aimed at increasing the seismic resistance and energy efficiency of buildings.
The Chinese side presented a number of advanced engineering solutions and innovative building materials. Among the demonstrated developments were lightweight, non-combustible thermal insulation panels for exterior walls, as well as insulation coatings and inter-floor soundproofing systems. Additionally, energy-saving materials for industrial pipelines were presented.
Participants in the meeting paid special attention to technologies for protecting structures from earthquakes. The Chinese delegation showed BRB (buckling-restrained brace) type seismic connections, which reduce the load on supporting structures during seismic events. Viscous fluid dampers (FV) and viscous fluid wall dampers (FVW), designed to absorb seismic energy, were also presented.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged experience in applying these technologies in China. Issues such as design, practical implementation, testing procedures, current regulatory requirements, and the functioning of earthquake monitoring systems were discussed. Following the negotiations, participants reviewed the possibilities of using energy-efficient materials and modern seismic protection technologies in Uzbekistan's construction industry, as well as their compliance with national technical standards and the potential for expanding bilateral cooperation in this area.
During a visit by employees of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan to the Puzian district of Jinhua city, meetings were held with the local administration's leadership, and negotiations took place within the framework of the Uzbek-Chinese business forum with representatives of major Chinese companies.
In the meeting with the district mayor Liu Ci, the parties discussed expanding economic ties and developing interregional cooperation. A Chinese representative noted that thanks to the efforts of the leaders of both countries, relations between Uzbekistan and China have reached the highest level, and he confirmed his readiness to support joint initiatives in areas of mutual interest.
The Uzbek side invited Liu Ci to visit Uzbekistan to further develop interregional cooperation. The Mayor of Puzian supported this idea and stated his readiness to organize a visit by a business delegation including representatives of leading enterprises in the district.
As part of the business forum, representatives of state bodies, educational institutions, and more than 60 Chinese companies received information about Uzbekistan's investment potential, business conditions, economic reforms, and measures for economic liberalization to create a favorable investment climate. After the forum, participants discussed promising directions for cooperation and agreed to hold business missions for Chinese entrepreneurs in the regions of Uzbekistan.
In separate negotiations with the management of Zhejiang Juyitang Garment Co., Ltd. and Zhejiang Pujiang Bohu Chain Co., Ltd., the possibility of establishing production facilities in Uzbekistan for textile products and protective chains for car tires was considered. Furthermore, Ni Bulun, chairman of Pujiang Jida Home Textile Co., Ltd., reported that the enterprise is studying the option of relocating part of its production capacity to Uzbekistan due to difficulties encountered in the company's operations in other countries. The parties agreed to arrange a visit by representatives of this company to Uzbekistan by the end of the current year.
Representatives from Uzbekistan and Poland held discussions on the potential creation of a logistics center in Poland. The goal of this project is to simplify the delivery of Uzbek products to the markets of the European Union and other international destinations.
The negotiations took place as part of a business mission of the delegation of Uzbekistan to Poland. The meeting was attended by Davron Vakhabov, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, Amirsaid Azamkhodzhayev, Honorary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Poland, and Michał Kaminski, Deputy Marshal of the Senate of Poland.
The parties discussed prospects for deepening trade and economic ties, expanding investment cooperation, and strengthening contacts between the business communities of the two countries.
One of the key issues raised at the meeting was the creation of a logistics center that should improve the supply process of Uzbek goods to the European market. Participants emphasized that this initiative will increase export opportunities for Uzbek producers, accelerate product distribution, and open new supply routes.
At the conclusion of the meeting, all parties confirmed their readiness to continue practical work on the implementation of the project, strengthen ties between business communities, and promote joint initiatives.
