The State Labor Inspectorate of Uzbekistan imposed administrative penalties on the management of the Suv ta'minoti branch in Chirchik. This followed an investigation into complaints that employees were ordered to work in conditions of intense heat without adhering to labor protection requirements.
The inspection was initiated after reports appeared on social media. During the inspection, it was established that on July 18, 2026, six employees of this branch were performing work tasks during the daytime under high temperatures and unfavorable working conditions.
As a result of the investigation, the head of the branch was held administratively liable according to Article 49, Part 1 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility of Uzbekistan. The violations are related to non-compliance with the Labor Code, the Law on Labor Protection, and sanitary norms SanPiN (SanKvan) 0069-24.
Furthermore, the employer was issued directives to forcibly eliminate the violations. The Inspectorate required the employer to plan work either before 10:00 AM or after 5:00 PM. It was also mandated to provide workers with drinking water, shaded rest areas, and personal protective equipment, as well as conduct continuous monitoring of the health of personnel working in high-temperature conditions.
The State Labor Inspectorate emphasized that protecting the life and health of employees is the primary duty of any employer.
