Bajaj Auto intends to significantly strengthen its position in the Indian market by planning the release of over ten motorcycles in the coming months. Among these new additions will be two completely new Pulsar models.
Planned Launches and Segments
These motorcycles will fall into the price segment from 125 cubic centimeters to 150 cubic centimeters. The company aims to enhance its market presence before the start of the festive season. These releases are also expected to include updates to several existing models, which will allow for the refreshment of the entire product portfolio.
Portfolio Update
Following the publication of first-quarter financial results, Managing Director Rakesh Sharma announced the company's plans. He stated that within the next six weeks, the company will revamp its entire range by adding ten models, including two entirely new motorcycle models under the Pulsar brand.
Bajaj Auto has begun the process of updating some products whose sales have slowed or declined. Previously, the company conducted a product portfolio update after last year's festive season. The remaining products will start going on sale from early August.
Prospects and Electrification
Rakesh Sharma noted that by October, approaching the festive season, consumers will have access to a fully updated assortment. Some of these updates are already available, while others will begin appearing in August. In addition to motorcycles, Bajaj Auto will also focus on expanding its electric scooter lineup, potentially releasing new models under the Chetak brand.
Sharma emphasized that the company has other upcoming launches that will open up new segments, with numerous interesting releases expected over the next six months. Regarding electric motorcycles, Rakesh Sharma reported that the company is developing a product for this segment, although instead of launching a new electric scooter brand, it will continue to develop the Chetak line.
