Protests against irregularities in the NEET exam were not limited to Delhi; on Monday, they also took place in Mumbai, where people took to the streets in support of the Cokeruch Janata Party (CJP).
During the demonstration, police detained activist and political figure Fahad Ahmad. Svara Bhaskar expressed her dissatisfaction with this arrest on social media by posting a video.
Svara Bhaskar shared a video on Instagram showing Mumbai police grabbing Fahad by the collar and taking him away in a police van during the protest. The clip can be heard with Fahad asking the police officers why he is being arrested. It is reported that this video was filmed around 4:30 PM.
By sharing the video, Svara stated that Fahad and other demonstrators were stopped at the Mahim police station. In the caption, she wrote: 'This is Indian democracy. Shameful circumstances.' She specified that the Mumbai police detained Fahad and other protesters on July 20, 2026, at 4:30 PM at Chaitiyabhoomi and transported them to the Mahim police station.
Fahad's video went viral on social media, and his fans are demanding that the police release him. Furthermore, Svara published another video where Fahad is inside police transport commenting on the situation on site. Svara wrote that she received this video from @fahadzirarahmad on July 20 at 4:30 PM and that he asked her to publish it. She added that the Mumbai police are attacking peaceful demonstrators at Chaitiyabhoomi and called on everyone who wishes to support to come to Chaitiyabhoomi peacefully and in large numbers.

He stated that 13 people had already been detained in this matter and emphasized that the culprits must receive the harshest punishment.

Ravi Kishan repeated the Prime Minister's words, adding that the best lawyer should be hired for the 13 detainees to ensure they receive the strictest possible punishment. During a demonstration organized by the Cocaaruch Janata Party (CJP) regarding the NEET exam leak, a march under the slogan 'March to Parliament' took place on Monday. Clashes occurred between demonstrators and Delhi police while attempting to stop participants moving from Jantar Mantar to Parliament.
According to a statement from the Delhi Police, over 118 personnel, including high-ranking officials, sustained injuries during these tense protests. The Delhi Police provided this information via the social network X, specifying that officers from the Delhi Police and central police forces were injured, including officers of the ranks of Special Commissioner, Joint Commissioner, Additional Commissioner, and Deputy Commissioner.
On Monday evening, residents in various parts of Delhi faced difficulties. A significant portion of Central Delhi was paralyzed by traffic jams. For safety reasons, entry to several metro stations was temporarily closed, causing inconvenience for a large number of passengers.
CJP founder Abidjit Dipke told 'Aajtak Digital' that the march to Parliament would continue on Tuesday as well. Although CJP demonstrators returned to Jantar Mantar after Monday's events, Dipke emphasized that they would not abandon the protest site. He also stated that the protests would continue until the central government's Education Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan, resigns. Information about the next march will be officially announced later.
Abidjit Dipke has ended his fast. Previously, on July 18, the Delhi Police had taken Sonam Vanchuk to the hospital at Jantar Mantar, after which Dipke began fasting. Additionally, three students from AISA—Neha, Manish, and Amin—also ended their multi-day fast earlier on Monday.
