The net profit from the consolidated statements of TVS Motor attributable to shareholders increased by 67.1% year-on-year, reaching ₹1,019.43 crore in the quarter ending June 30, 2026. This figure is an increase compared to ₹610.04 crore. Meanwhile, operating revenue grew by 33.5%, amounting to ₹16,295.52 crore compared to ₹12,210.05 crore.
Additional income for the quarter included an increase of ₹149.60 crore received from the fair valuation of the company's investments. The total consolidated income rose to ₹16,453.72 crore from ₹12,249.71 crore previously. Additional income reached ₹158.20 crore, significantly higher than the ₹39.66 crore recorded a year earlier.
Expenses increased by 32.3%, reaching ₹14,894.22 crore compared to ₹11,261.60 crore. These include an increase in material costs to ₹10,270.04 crore (from ₹7,062.28 crore) and an increase in employee benefits expenses to ₹1,324.45 crore (from ₹1,052.46 crore).
Profit before tax increased by 58.1%, rising to ₹1,545.19 crore from ₹977.19 crore. The share of losses from affiliates expanded to ₹14.31 crore from ₹10.92 crore. No exceptional items were registered in either quarter. The company's consolidated operating margin improved by 50 basis points, standing at 11.4% compared to 10.9%.
Revenue and additional income from the automotive vehicles and spare parts segment grew by 36.8%, reaching ₹14,398.15 crore. Segment profit before tax and interest increased by 57.2%, amounting to ₹1,232.25 crore versus ₹783.82 crore. In the financial services segment, revenue and additional income grew by 20%, reaching ₹2,068.41 crore from ₹1,724.15 crore, and profit before tax and interest increased by 59.9% to ₹431.57 crore.
For certain metrics, the total sales volume of two- and three-wheelers grew by 27.7%, reaching 1.63 million units compared to 1.28 million units in the same quarter last year. Sales of electric two-wheelers increased by 85.5% to 129,940 units (from 70,060 units), while sales of three-wheelers grew by 48.3% to 66,697 units (from 44,978 units).
The company noted that the increase in raw material prices raised production costs during the quarter. However, the company partially offset this increase through price adjustments, cost optimization measures, and economies of scale. The TVS Motor Board of Directors approved raising funds of up to ₹1,000 crore through unsecured bonds, commercial papers, or other permitted borrowings, subject to compliance with applicable regulations and the company's overall borrowing limits.
Piramal Finance demonstrated significant growth in its financial indicators in the first quarter ending June 30, 2026. The company's consolidated net profit increased by 66.8 percent compared to the same period last year, reaching INR 460.98 crore. Meanwhile, total income grew by 27.5 percent.
The company's operating revenue increased by 27.6 percent, amounting to INR 3,368.27 crore in the first quarter of the 2026-27 fiscal year (Q1FY27). This figure is higher than INR 2,639.25 crore a year earlier. Additional income also rose by 20.5 percent, reaching INR 61.27 crore, leading to a total income of INR 3,429.54 crore.
Interest income contributed the most to the revenue, increasing by 28.9 percent year-on-year to INR 3,085.48 crore. Income from commissions and fees grew by 11 percent, totaling INR 126.83 crore. The company's total expenses increased by 25 percent, rising from INR 2,467.44 crore to INR 3,085.42 crore.
Financial costs increased by 16.2 percent, reaching INR 1,733.86 crore, while employee benefit expenses rose by 11.8 percent, amounting to INR 504.16 crore. Other expenses grew by 8.2 percent, reaching INR 329.21 crore. During the quarter, the company recorded impairment reserves of INR 273.59 crore, contrasting with the reversal of reserves of INR 226.83 crore in the corresponding period last year.
Profit attributable to interests in affiliates and joint ventures, excluding exceptional items and taxes, increased by 54.5 percent, reaching INR 344.12 crore. The group's share in the net profit from affiliates and joint ventures grew by 26.2 percent, amounting to INR 98.87 crore. Consequently, profit before tax increased by 47.2 percent, reaching INR 442.99 crore from INR 301.03 crore a year earlier. Basic earnings per share rose to INR 20.38 from INR 12.22, and diluted earnings per share reached INR 20.27 compared to INR 12.13.
Other comprehensive income amounted to INR 200.15 crore compared to INR 33.13 crore a year earlier, including a share in other comprehensive income from affiliates and joint ventures of INR 155.12 crore. Total comprehensive income increased to INR 661.13 crore from INR 309.50 crore. Net profit attributable to owners of the company was INR 459.12 crore, and profit attributable to non-controlling interests was INR 1.86 crore. The Board of Directors also approved the possibility of raising up to INR 4,000 crore through the issuance of equity shares, convertible securities, unsecured bonds with warrants, or other equity-related instruments, subject to market, regulatory, and shareholder requirements.
ICICI Prudential Asset Management Company (AMC) announced a 23% increase in its profit after tax (PAT) compared to the previous year, reaching ₹964.63 crore for the quarter ending June 30, 2026. This growth was attributed to increased revenues, according to an official company statement published on Monday.
In the corresponding quarter of the last fiscal year, the company recorded a PAT of ₹783.64 crore. For the quarter from April to June, total revenue grew by 18.1%, amounting to ₹1,745.02 crore compared to ₹1,477.52 crore the previous year. Meanwhile, operating income increased by 17.6% to ₹1,564.22 crore, while total expenses amounted to ₹464.37 crore, which is 11.7% higher than in the same period last year.
Profit before tax showed a growth of 20.6%, reaching ₹1,280.65 crore, up from ₹1,061.96 crore the previous year. Operating profit before tax increased by 20.2% year-on-year, totaling ₹1,099.85 crore.
According to the investor presentation, the average assets under management (QAAUM) for mutual funds as of June 2026 reached ₹11.17 lakh crore, securing a market share of 13.4%. Active mutual funds had a QAAUM of ₹9.25 trillion, and equity QAAUM stood at ₹6.31 lakh crore.
Furthermore, the company reported that its unique client base expanded to 17.3 million as of June 30, 2026, up from 15.1 million the previous year. The company also serves over 116,000 distribution partners and operates 286 offices.
During the quarter, the company paid a final dividend of ₹12.40 per share for the financial year ending March 31, 2026, following approval by shareholders at the annual general meeting held last month. Shares of ICICI Prudential Asset Management Company closed on BSE 1.56% higher, at a price of ₹3,209.55 per share.
The public sector bank Indian Bank, based in Chennai, announced a 10% increase in net profit for the first quarter of the current fiscal year, reaching INR 3,273 crore. In the same quarter of the previous fiscal year, the profit was INR 2,973 crore.
According to the report submitted to the regulator, the bank's total income for the June quarter of 2026-27 increased to INR 20,724 crore compared to INR 18,721 crore in the corresponding period of FY 26. Interest income also improved, amounting to INR 18,090 crore versus INR 16,283 crore a year earlier.
Net Interest Income (NII) grew by 17%, reaching INR 7,435 crore compared to INR 6,359 crore in the June quarter of FY 26. Furthermore, the bank's operating profit rose to INR 5,557 crore from INR 4,770 crore recorded in the same quarter last year.
The bank demonstrated an improvement in asset quality: Gross Non-Performing Assets (NPA) decreased to 1.86% of total loans by the end of June, down from 3.01% a year earlier. Similarly, Net NPAs, or bad loans, reduced to 0.15% compared to 0.18% in the previous year.
As a result of these changes, provisions for bad loans were reduced to INR 376 crore in the first quarter, down from INR 387 crore a year ago. The Provision Coverage Ratio (PCR) remained unchanged at 98.2% during the quarter.
The Return on Assets (ROA) improved to 1.34% for June 2026, whereas it was 1.03% in June 2025. Meanwhile, the bank's capital adequacy ratio decreased to 17.80% from 17.99% in the same quarter of FY 26.
