Asian and Global Markets
On Monday morning, Asian markets showed mixed dynamics as traders assessed the geopolitical situation in West Asia. The South Korean Kospi stock index fell by 2.8 percent, while the Hang Seng index rose by 1.7 percent.
Last Friday, the Dow Jones Industrial Average and S&P 500 indices closed down by 0.77 percent and 1.01 percent, respectively. The Nasdaq Composite index ended trading with a decline of 1.4 percent.
Commodity Price Dynamics
Brent crude oil surpassed the $90 per barrel mark on the Intercontinental Exchange. This occurred after the US conducted its ninth consecutive night of military strikes on targets in Iran, during which casualties were reported.
Furthermore, American investigators discovered unidentified remains near the site of the Iranian attack in Jordan, which previously resulted in the deaths of two American service members. The July contract was valued at $90.29 per barrel, corresponding to a rise of 2.5 percent. Gold and silver futures traded down by 2.3 percent and 5 percent, respectively.
