Iranian Academy of Arts to Host Virtual Exhibition of Uzbek Artist Akmal Nuriddinov's Works

The Iranian Academy of Arts is organizing an online exhibition featuring selected works by Akmal Nuriddinov, a prominent Uzbek artist who also serves as the President of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan.

Goals of Cultural Cooperation

More than 27 of Nuriddinov's works will be presented on the website of the Iranian Academy of Arts. This virtual exposition aims to strengthen cultural and artistic diplomacy, introduce the public to contemporary Uzbek art, and reinforce scientific, research, and artistic interaction between the two countries, while expanding cultural ties with Central Asian states.

According to IRNA, showcasing the work of one of Uzbekistan's leading contemporary artists lays the foundation for mutual recognition of artistic abilities, exchange of experience, and establishing connections between artists and researchers from both nations. The program is designed to foster sustainable cooperation, mutual presentation of Iranian and Uzbek masters, and create a platform for displaying Iranian art in Central Asian countries and regional art in Iran, thereby deepening cultural relations and elevating the status of art in regional engagement.

Akmal Nuriddinov, aged 67, is considered one of Uzbekistan's most renowned artists. He graduated from the Republican Art School named after P. Benkov in 1978 and the Tashkent State Institute of Arts named after M. Ugur in 1984, beginning his career in the top art studios of Tashkent. In 1997, Akmal Nuri became an academician and active member of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan, and in 2003, he was awarded the title of People's Artist of Uzbekistan.

Regarding his artistic approach, the artist notes that his art is formed at the boundary between the visible and the hidden, between the material reality of the human body and its inner, spiritual experience. He emphasizes that he is more concerned with revealing states that go beyond form and outward appearance—such as silence, passion, love, loneliness, memory, and the human striving for the Absolute—rather than simply depicting the external world. According to the painter, his works are rooted in a dialogue with the philosophical and cultural heritage of the East, especially the Sufi understanding of love, serving as a path to self-knowledge.

Epidemiological situation in Kitobsky district is under full control

Information was revealed on social networks about the illness of three members of one family in the village of Varganza, Kitobsky district.

Investigation of the case

In this regard, the healthcare department of Karadaryi region provided the following information. On July 10 of this year, a citizen residing in Kitobsky district and born in 1979 was hospitalized with suspicion of a dangerous infectious disease. During the epidemiological investigation, it was established that the victim was infected by an infant approximately a month ago.

Consequences and control measures

Unfortunately, this citizen died on July 11 of this year. A forensic medical examination has been ordered to determine the cause of death of the deceased. Additionally, three citizens residing in the area underwent a medical examination as a preventive measure. No clinical signs of the disease were found in them, and they are under medical observation, receiving necessary preventive vaccinations.

Coordination of control efforts

Furthermore, the epidemiological situation in Kitobsky district is fully controlled through the joint work of the regional healthcare department, the sanitary and epidemiological service, and the public health service, as well as veterinary specialists. In an official statement, citizens are asked to refrain from excessive worry, and social media users are asked not to spread unfounded and unverified information.

IIBB Employees Held Competition at 'Zakovat' Club in Tashkent

In Tashkent, the capital, an gaming tournament took place among IIBB employees from structural and territorial units, jointly with the Tashkent City Internal Affairs Department and the 'Zakovat' club.

Competition Progress

As part of the event, 29 teams from the structural units and territorial departments of the Tashkent City Internal Affairs Department competed for the title of winners.

Tournament Results

After intense competition, the team from the IIBB of Tashkent city won first place. Second place was taken by the IIO FMB team from the Almazor district, and third place was received by the IIO FMB team from the Yunusobod district.

Each of these teams was awarded diplomas, commemorative gifts, and cash prizes.

Illegal Tobacco Trade Suppressed in Jizzakh Region

As part of another operational measure aimed at preventing the illegal trade of tobacco products not marked by excise centers, large batches of products were discovered in the Jizzakh region.

Inspection Conducted

Employees of the Jizzakh Regional Customs Department, together with representatives of other law enforcement agencies, conducted an unscheduled inspection. During this operation, a retail point, a warehouse, and the residential building of a citizen living in the city of Jizzakh were inspected.

Products Found

The inspections revealed that 3064 boxes of tobacco products from 60 different types were stored. This product lacks the marking of the Republic of Uzbekistan's excise centers, and its initial value is estimated at 121.3 million UZS.

Goals of Control

This situation once again demonstrates the consistency of control measures being carried out to prevent the illegal circulation of tobacco products, ensure a legal trading environment in the domestic market, and protect state interests. Investigative work is currently underway regarding this fact.
