Cement manufacturer Nuvoco Vistas Corp forecasts that its revenue will exceed 13,000 crore rupees in the fiscal year 2026–2027 (FY27). This projection is based on the company's plans to achieve a 7–8 percent growth in cement production volumes, stable pricing, demand recovery in key markets, and ongoing expansion of production capacity.
According to Managing Director Jayakumar Krishnaswamy, the company's revenue increased by 9.47 percent year-over-year (YoY) in the previous fiscal year (FY26), reaching 11,338.29 crore rupees. Krishnaswamy stated that for FY27, the company aims for approximately 7–8 percent volume growth. If about 20.4 million metric tons (MT) were sold last year, volumes are expected to exceed 22 million tons this year, with turnover reaching over 13,000 crore rupees.
To support future development, Nuvoco plans to invest approximately 1,850 crore rupees during FY27 and FY28. These funds will be directed towards expanding cement production capacity to 35 MT per annum (mtpa). The company plans to spend around 900 crore rupees in FY27 and another 950 crore rupees in FY28, following capital expenditures of 712 crore rupees in FY26.
Krishnaswamy noted that current internal accruals are sufficient to finance expansion plans until FY28. He added that by the time FY28 is reached, sales volumes will also increase significantly, allowing for sufficient cash flow generation to fund the next stage of growth.
The expansion will be driven by the integration of Vadraj Cement assets and bottleneck resolution projects in Eastern India. After FY28, Nuvoco, which belongs to the Nirma group, intends to consider either expanding at the existing facility in Chittorgarh, Rajasthan, or establishing a new project in Gulbarga, Karnataka, depending on market conditions.
Regarding operations, Krishnaswamy explained that the volume growth in the first quarter of FY27 by about 5 percent (at 5.3 MT) was negatively affected by logistical disruptions in Eastern India. A shortage of railway wagons diverted to power plants, as well as a lack of diesel fuel in Chhattisgarh, impacted shipments and led to lost sales.
The company anticipates that costs will increase by 100–120 rupees per ton in the current second quarter due to furnace maintenance shutdowns related to monsoons, rising fixed costs, and general inflation in raw materials and diesel. However, the company does not forecast a significant increase in fuel costs during the quarter as it has already secured petcoke supplies.
Krishnaswamy emphasized that the cement industry has restored pricing discipline after a prolonged period of pressure caused by sector consolidation. Manufacturers have been able to pass on increased raw material costs, spurred by geopolitical tensions in West Asia, to consumers, while prices remained stable despite the start of the monsoon season. He added that if fuel or raw material costs rise further, the company will respond with price increases, as done in April and May, while maintaining commitment to margin protection.
The company forecasts that the domestic cement market will grow by 7–8 percent in FY27 and does not plan to enter South India in the next five to seven years due to lower capacity utilization and less anticipated return prospects in that region.
Nuvoco's main objectives include strengthening the premium product portfolio, improving the structure of sales, and maintaining a capacity utilization rate of around 80 percent. The head also noted that maintaining a disciplined cost structure remains critically important. As volumes increase and costs are controlled, the company's goal is to steadily increase EBITDA per ton in the coming years.
Currently, premium products account for about 44 percent of Nuvoco's total portfolio, and the company aims to increase this share to over 50 percent during FY27 to improve margins and profitability. Regarding sales structure, Nuvoco currently operates with a non-trading to trading sales ratio of approximately 75:25. Although business integration in Gujarat will temporarily increase the proportion of non-trading sales, the company intends to restore the ratio to approximately 75:25 within the next 24–36 months.
Previously, the net profit after tax of the consolidated firm promoted by the Nirma group for the April-June FY27 quarter (Q1 FY27) grew by 19.97 percent year-over-year to 159.76 crore rupees. The growth was attributed to increased revenue, operating efficiency, and reduced interest expenses. Nuvoco's operating revenue in Q1 FY27 was 3,128.71 crore rupees, an 8.91 percent increase year-over-year. The company reported a record EBITDA of 572 crore rupees in Q1 FY27, which is 7 percent higher year-over-year.
Rallis India Ltd, a company engaged in the agricultural resources sector, reported a 31 percent increase in net profit for the period from April to June, amounting to 125 crore rupees, due to increased revenue.
In the same period last year, the company's net profit was 95 crore rupees. According to regulatory filings submitted on Monday, total revenue for the first quarter of the current fiscal year reached 1035 crore rupees, compared to 969 crore rupees in the corresponding period of the previous year.

He attributed this to 'focused execution across all business verticals, improved profitability, and continuous investments in strengthening our portfolio and capabilities.'

UltraTech Cement's consolidated net profit for the quarter ending June 30, 2026, increased by 16.8% year-on-year, reaching 2,599.28 crore rupees. Meanwhile, operating revenue grew by 15.9% to 24,648.20 crore rupees.
The cement manufacturer reported that in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year, net profit was 2,225.90 crore rupees, and operating revenue was 21,275.45 crore rupees.
UltraTech's total income grew by 15.5% compared to the previous year, reaching 24,778.47 crore rupees from 21,455.68 crore rupees. According to the company's press release, consolidated net sales increased by 16.3%, rising to 24,465 crore rupees from 21,040 crore rupees. Profit Before Interest, Depreciation, and Taxes (PBIDT) increased by 12.1% to 5,146 crore rupees compared to 4,591 crore rupees.
Profit before extraordinary items, share of profit or loss from associates and joint ventures, and taxes increased by 14.5%, amounting to 3,492.28 crore rupees versus 3,050.49 crore rupees. Earnings per basic share rose to 88.36 rupees from 75.67 rupees, corresponding to an increase of 16.8%.
Total expenses increased by 15.7% compared to the quarter a year ago, reaching 21,286.19 crore rupees from 18,405.19 crore rupees. Electricity and fuel costs rose to 5,418.65 crore rupees from 4,861.90 crore rupees, while freight and delivery expenses increased to 5,210.61 crore rupees from 4,648.97 crore rupees. The cost of consumed materials rose to 4,129.36 crore rupees from 3,432.71 crore rupees, and other expenses amounted to 3,193.09 crore rupees compared to 2,562.96 crore rupees.
During the quarter, the company recorded exceptional losses of 13.25 crore rupees, which is less than 38.38 crore rupees in the same period. The share of profit from associates and joint ventures was 1.40 crore rupees, whereas last year there was a loss of 4.31 crore rupees.
Domestic sales volume reached 39.2 million tonnes, which is 13.1% more than in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. Capacity utilization ratio was 81% against a installed domestic capacity of 200.1 million tonnes per annum. Operating profit before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization per tonne increased by 1.3% to 1,214 rupees from 1,198 rupees.
UltraTech reported that its domestic capacity for producing grey cement exceeded 200.1 million tonnes per annum in April 2026, and its global capacity, including international operations, reached 205.5 million tonnes per annum. The company attributed the quarterly results to market execution efficiency, operational efficiency, and integration of acquired assets.
It was noted that India Cements recorded a normalized profit after tax of 52 crore rupees for the quarter, compared to a net loss of 183 crore rupees in the first quarter of 2024-25. India Cements' sales volume grew by 18.5% over the same period.
During the quarter, UltraTech commissioned 20 megawatts of waste heat recovery capacity, bringing the total installed capacity of such systems to 434 megawatts. Combined with 1.4 gigawatts of renewable energy capacity, this raised the company's green energy share to 47% by the end of the quarter.
The public sector lender Reserve Bank of India reported on Friday a 13 percent increase in net profit, reaching 1324 crore rupees for the June quarter.
For the reporting period, the bank's total revenue increased to 10,678 crore rupees. This figure is higher than 10,360 crore rupees for the same period in the 2026 fiscal year. The growth in total revenue was driven by an increase in interest income.
The bank's net profit in the current quarter amounted to 1324 crore rupees, compared to 1169 crore rupees in the same quarter of the previous fiscal year. However, operating profit decreased to 2,186 crore rupees from 2,304 crore rupees the year before.
The bank demonstrated an improvement in asset quality. Gross Non-Performing Assets (NPA) reduced to 2.60 percent of gross loans as of the end of June, down from 3.13 percent the previous year. Net NPAs remained stable at 0.49 percent as of June 30, 2026.
As a result of this improvement, provisions for bad loans significantly decreased—they fell from 468 crore rupees at the end of June 2025 to 346 crore rupees.
Furthermore, the bank's capital adequacy ratio improved to 18.28 percent, showing an increase compared to 17.66 percent recorded at the end of the first quarter of the 2026 fiscal year.
