The charitable organization 'Vatanparvar', which supports the defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan, continues its work to strengthen the educational and material and technical base, as well as to train drivers and technical personnel in the educational institutions of the Namangan Regional Council system.
Under the authority of the Regional Council, there are thirteen educational and sports technical centers and a center for sports technical and practical sports. These institutions are engaged in training and retraining vehicle drivers, as well as forming technical specialists.
In the second quarter of 2026, these educational institutions trained a total of 6,598 attendees. Of these, 5,826 people underwent driver training or retraining. They received knowledge in categories 'A' (3 people), 'B' (4,479 people), and 'VS' (843 people). Additionally, 501 drivers completed a retraining course.
The qualifications of 752 drivers were also improved according to traffic rules. In Namangan district, 64 tractor drivers were retrained, and in Namangan city, as well as in the Kosonsoy and Pop districts, 65 drivers of vehicles running on gas were retrained. In the Uchqurgon district, 20 drivers of gas-electric buses were trained.
To strengthen the educational and material base in the educational and sports technical centers of Pop and Uchi districts, modern autodromes are being used. During the first six months of the current year, construction of new autodromes began in the Chust, Kosonsoy, and To'raqurgon districts. A modern autodrome designed for training drivers of all categories was commissioned in the Chust district.
Recently, the fleet of the educational institutions has also been updated. In the first half of 2025 and 2026, 8 KIA Sonet cars, 103 Onix cars, 7 Foton cars, and 2 trucks were purchased and included in the educational process. This fleet accounts for almost half of the educational vehicles in the region. During an open dialogue held in the Uchqurgon district on the occasion of 'Youth Day', six graduates of the Namangan State Technical University found employment.
Entrance examinations for admission to institutions of higher and vocational education for the 2026/2027 academic year have started in the Surkhandarya region. This important process is taking place in accordance with established rules and requirements.
According to the regional department of the Agency for Knowledge and Qualification Assessment, a total of 48,185 applicants were registered this year. The exams are being held in 8 buildings across the region, including 4 locations in the city of Termiz and 4 locations in the Denov district.
The events are taking place at the building of the regional department of the Agency for Knowledge and Qualification Assessment, the branch of the Tashkent Medical Academy in Termiz, and the buildings of the Termiz City Sports School. All organizational matters are carried out according to established standards, creating a comfortable, safe, and transparent environment for applicants.
The examination process in the region is scheduled until July 23 and is conducted daily in two shifts: from 08:00 to 11:00 and from 15:00 to 18:00. At the building of the regional department of the Agency for Knowledge and Qualification Assessment in the city of Termiz, 1,140 applicants participate in each shift, totaling 2,280 people per day.
To guarantee the fair and open conduct of the exams, all rooms where tests are administered are fully equipped with video surveillance systems.
Entrance tests for higher educational institutions for the 2026/2027 academic year have started at the center for training in Olympic and Paralympic sports in Namangan. The exams are being conducted in accordance with the approved procedure and regulations of the Agency for Knowledge and Qualification Assessment.
During the testing process, applicants were informed about the examination procedures and established requirements. Special attention is paid to ensuring that the exams in all classrooms are transparent and fair.
In the Namangan region, tests are organized in five buildings across three districts. The exams will take place from July 14 to July 23 in two shifts—at 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM.
The total number of applicants registered for admission to the region's higher educational institutions is 50,806 people. Conditions have been created for 2,550 applicants to participate in each shift, totaling 5,100 participants per day.
A book fair with the slogan 'We give books to our children!' was organized in Namangan. The event was held at the Namangan Regional Department of the Social Protection Agency.
Employees of the department, as well as representatives from the Namangan City Center for Social Services 'Inson' and the regional social inspection department, took part in the fair. Employees purchased various fiction and popular science books for themselves and their children.
It is emphasized that regular spiritual and educational events conducted within the management system contribute to increasing reading culture among employees, stimulating interest in learning, and strengthening the spiritual environment.
