The Splitscape Residence / SpaceDNA was conceived by exploring the idea that the act of cutting, and not just the drawing of the plan, can be used as the main design resource. This method aims to generate greater spatial generosity, even when confronted with the limitations imposed by a small and dense urban plot.
This residential project is located in the city of Coimbatore, India. It occupies a lot measuring 114 square meters, situated in a neighborhood characterized by high residential density.
The project team presented the description of the Casa Libertad / Clusellas Ades project. This project focuses on developing a suburban residential model that circumvents the usual restrictions found on plots located between adjacent buildings.
To achieve this goal, the project adopts a distinct approach: instead of being limited by neighboring constructions, it keeps them at a visible distance. These structures are then treated as green areas, integrating continuously with the vegetation present in the property's garden.
