In the final stage of the Asian Aquatics Championships in Thailand, Uzbekistan won one gold and one bronze medal across various age categories.
Mukhammadismoil Rakhmonov won the gold medal in the men's 200-meter breaststroke for juniors under 18 years old. Additionally, Parizod Abdukarimova received a bronze medal in the women's 100-meter backstroke for girls under 18 years old.
Thanks to these achievements, Uzbekistan increased its medal count at the continental championships by two more awards.
The Uzbekistan youth team demonstrated a successful start to its participation in the Asian Judo Championship, which is being held in Jordan. After just the first day of competition, Uzbek athletes won three gold, one silver, and four bronze medals, leading the team to take the overall medal lead.
At the Asian Championship, champions were Muhammadjon Masharipov in the under 60 kg division, Inoyat Telmanov in the under 73 kg category, and Raihona Mamatova in the under 57 kg weight class.
Zarina Jamalova received the silver medal in the under 48 kg category. Among the bronze medalists were Dilshod Karimov (under 60 kg), Mukhriddin Marufov (under 73 kg), Sabina Azamatova (under 52 kg), and Mohinur Allaberganova (under 57 kg). Thus, following the first part of the tournament, the Uzbekistan team maintains the first position in the medal standings among youth teams.
In the final stage of the Asian U23 Athletics Championship held in Ordos, China, Uzbekistan achieved a victory by winning two gold and one silver medal.
Jonbibi Khukmova won the gold medal in the women's 800 meters race. Additionally, Valeria Gorbatova received the title of winner in the women's high jump.
Barnokhon Saifullaeva added a silver to Uzbekistan's total medal count by taking second place in the women's high jump discipline. The U23 Athletics Championship continues in Ordos, China.
