The Uzbekistan youth team demonstrated a successful start to its participation in the Asian Judo Championship, which is being held in Jordan. After just the first day of competition, Uzbek athletes won three gold, one silver, and four bronze medals, leading the team to take the overall medal lead.
First Day Tournament Results
At the Asian Championship, champions were Muhammadjon Masharipov in the under 60 kg division, Inoyat Telmanov in the under 73 kg category, and Raihona Mamatova in the under 57 kg weight class.
Medalists and Achievements
Zarina Jamalova received the silver medal in the under 48 kg category. Among the bronze medalists were Dilshod Karimov (under 60 kg), Mukhriddin Marufov (under 73 kg), Sabina Azamatova (under 52 kg), and Mohinur Allaberganova (under 57 kg). Thus, following the first part of the tournament, the Uzbekistan team maintains the first position in the medal standings among youth teams.
