Samsung is preparing an unprecedented surprise for the Galaxy Unpacked event, which is scheduled to take place in London. There are indications that the company's next foldable phones may be presented as early as July 22nd, marking an important moment for the manufacturer's foldable device segment.
New Expectations for the Galaxy Z Line
Analysts suggest that speculations point to a new design within the Galaxy Z Fold family, as well as possible innovations for the Galaxy Watch line. The official invitation released by Samsung carries the motto 'A new format unfolds,' which heightens expectations for changes in the Galaxy Z Fold line.
Among the most discussed rumors is the possibility of a device with shorter and wider dimensions, aiming to provide a more pleasant experience when watching movies and series. Furthermore, updates are expected for the already known Fold and Flip models.
Details of Expected Products
The main expectations for the event include the launch of a Galaxy Z Flip 8, which would bring performance improvements and a redesign of the hinge. A Galaxy Z Fold 8 with a larger main screen is also expected. Additionally, there is the possibility of a Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, serving as a more sophisticated version of the family.
Regarding the Fold line, if the rumors materialize, Samsung could present two book-style foldable devices simultaneously, something never before seen from the company. The standard Galaxy Z Fold 8 should feature an expanded internal screen, while the hypothetical Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra could incorporate a screen with less visible creases, an updated processor, three rear cameras, and faster charging.
Other Innovations and Pre-orders
There is some uncertainty about the distribution of these features; some theories indicate that the larger screen might be exclusive to the Ultra model, keeping the traditional Fold 8 with characteristics similar to the current generation. Despite the focus on foldables, Samsung may also use the event to renew other products, such as the Galaxy Watch 9, the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, and future Android XR glasses, although some of these announcements may be postponed until autumn in the Northern Hemisphere.
Another relevant news item concerns the pre-order of the devices. The company has started advance reservations and will offer participants a credit of US$30 (equivalent to about R$165) for this action. Galaxy Unpacked will be broadcast live on July 22nd, starting from London, through Samsung's official channels.
