Days before the official launch event, scheduled for July 22, Evan Blass released detailed images of Samsung's next generation of foldable smartphones, previewing market news.
The leaks confirm not only a significant aesthetic change in the devices but also expose the main technical specifications of the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Flip 8, and the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra.
The photos provided by Blass, some forwarded to The Verge, reinforce previous information and align with glimpses of the phones shown in a Spider-Man themed teaser released by Samsung earlier this week.
In the conventional Z Fold 8 model, the visual highlight is a redesigned format, adopting a more elongated and wider shape to optimize ergonomics and screen usage experience. Its specifications include the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy processor, 50 MP (wide-angle) and 50 MP (ultra-wide-angle) rear cameras, and 10 MP front sensors, present on both the internal and external screens. The battery of this device has an estimated autonomy of up to 26 hours of video playback.
The Galaxy Z Flip 8 features a 4,300 mAh battery capacity. In terms of photography, it has a 10 MP front camera located on the internal screen and a dual configuration on the external cameras, consisting of a 50 MP wide-angle lens and a 12 MP ultra-wide-angle lens, maintaining the same photographic system as the current Z Flip 7.
The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is equipped with a 5,000 mAh battery, designed to offer up to 27 hours of video playback. This model boasts a quadruple rear camera setup, including 200 MP (wide-angle), 50 MP (ultra-wide-angle), and 10 MP sensors. Additionally, it has 10 MP sensors on both the external and main screens.
Samsung is preparing an unprecedented surprise for the Galaxy Unpacked event, which is scheduled to take place in London. There are indications that the company's next foldable phones may be presented as early as July 22nd, marking an important moment for the manufacturer's foldable device segment.
Analysts suggest that speculations point to a new design within the Galaxy Z Fold family, as well as possible innovations for the Galaxy Watch line. The official invitation released by Samsung carries the motto 'A new format unfolds,' which heightens expectations for changes in the Galaxy Z Fold line.
