Bollywood superstar and politician Dinesh Lal Yadav, known as Nirahua, shared his views regarding long-standing criticisms directed at Bollywood cinema. He has been accused of using actors as objects in Bollywood films, as well as promoting indecency within them.
Nirahua noted that judging an entire film industry based on only a few movies is mistaken. Speaking to IANS, he emphasized that various types of films are created in every regional and national film industry. He believes that Bollywood cinema should not be viewed in isolation.
According to Nirahua, any industry contains numerous genres of film and content. He cited examples such as Bollywood, South Indian cinema, Hindi, and Marathi cinema, noting that each industry serves its specific target audience.
Despite public opinion suggesting that unacceptable content predominates in Bollywood films, Nirahua explained that this perception arises when only films of one category are highlighted, ignoring other forms of work. He stated that this is untrue because good and bad exist everywhere.
He added that flaws are present in all industries, and an entire profession cannot be defined by these shortcomings. Nirahua quoted: 'Just as a rose has thorns, so does everything have flaws. No person is without faults. Show me a garden without thorns, and I will show you that it happens everywhere. It's just that some things attract more attention, and people start to think that it is the only thing that exists.'
As one of the leading stars of Bollywood cinema, Nirahua has acted in many successful projects, including films such as 'Nirahua Rikshawala', 'Nirahua Hindustani', 'Patana Se Pakistan', 'Border', 'Sipahi', 'Jigarwala', and 'Nirahua Chall London'. In addition to Bollywood films, Nirahua also features in web shows on OTT platforms.
