The republican stage of the national professional skills competition 'New Uzbekistan Builders-2026' is taking place in the city of Nukus, Karakalpakstan Republic, as part of support from the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Competition Proceedings
The competitions are organized at the building of Public Technical School No. 2 named after Abu Ali ibn Sino in Nukus. Participants compete in the Medical and Social Care field.
Overall, large-scale events are being held across the country aimed at improving the quality of personnel training in vocational education, strengthening the material and technical base, expanding cooperation with employers, and increasing the prestige of vocational education in society, which aligns with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated October 23, 2025, 'On Measures for Implementing Reforms in the Vocational Education System.'
Goals and Participants
The main goal of the 'New Uzbekistan Builders' competition is to stimulate youth interest in professions, create a healthy competitive environment among middle-level personnel, and expand opportunities for winners and participants to obtain high-paying jobs both domestically and internationally.
Participants in the republican stage are the most deserving young people who have shown high results at the city, district, and regional stages, coming from the Karakalpakstan Republic, all regions, and Tashkent city. Practical mentors who prepared each of them for the competition are also actively participating.
Assessment Methodology and Awards
Participants' knowledge and skills are assessed by qualified experts who possess a methodology based on international WorldSkills standards. A special appeal commission has been established to ensure the fairness of the assessment process.
