Yandex Maps has introduced a new feature called 'Chilla' in its application, designed for residents and visitors of Uzbekistan. This feature will help users find suitable places for relaxation and cooling down during the country's 40-day summer period.
Availability of the new feature
The new section is available in several cities across Uzbekistan, including Tashkent, Samarkand, Namangan, Andijan, Nukus, and Bukhara. The goal of this development is to allow users to quickly locate useful spots in hot weather and plan more comfortable city routes.
How to use 'Chilla'
To use this feature, users must open the Yandex Maps application, tap on the search bar, and select the 'Chilla' category. Subsequently, shopping centers, city fountains, drinking water points, swimming pools, water parks, beaches, as well as establishments where one can buy ice cream or tea and take a break during a walk, will be displayed on the map.
Additional app features
The application also offers a list of popular destinations outside urban areas. These include the Charvak Reservoir, the Amirsoy ski resort, the Urungach lakes, and other natural sites suitable for weekend trips. Furthermore, Yandex Maps provides weather forecasts, allowing users to view the current temperature, the one-day forecast, and a precipitation map to choose the most convenient time to be outdoors and avoid prolonged exposure to heat during the hottest hours of the day.
Overall, Yandex Maps functions as a mapping service that allows users to search for businesses and city objects, view operating hours, photos, ratings, and reviews, as well as build routes for public transport, driving, cycling, and walking.
