According to the National Statistical Committee, over 3.5 million citizens of Uzbekistan traveled abroad for tourism in the first half of 2026. The agency reported that the number of such outbound tourist trips increased by 2,500 compared to the same period last year.
Popularity of Destinations
From January to June, Kyrgyzstan ranked first among the most sought-after destinations for Uzbek travelers, welcoming 1,547,589 visitors. Kazakhstan came in second with 667,722 tourists, and Tajikistan was third with 619,515 visitors.
Top-10 Destinations
The top ten most popular places also included Russia, which attracted 183,759 guests, Saudi Arabia with 153,591 visitors, Turkey—127,241 tourists, the United Arab Emirates—41,780 people, China—36,502, Egypt—25,905, and Vietnam—23,409.
General Trends
The statistics show that Central Asian countries bordering Uzbekistan continue to make up the main share of outbound tourism from Uzbekistan. Furthermore, besides the region, the most popular destinations remain Russia, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey.
