According to data from the National Statistical Committee, Uzbekistan welcomed 6,565,410 foreign guests from 205 countries in the first half of 2026.
Between January and June, men made up the majority among international visitors. A total of 3,627,564 men visited the country, which corresponds to approximately 55.3% of the total number of tourists. Women accounted for 2,937,846 people, or 44.7%.
The largest group of foreign tourists consisted of people aged 31 to 55, numbering 3,390,402 individuals. Additionally, 1,307,741 tourists were over 56 years old. Furthermore, 1,089,647 guests visited the country between the ages of 19 and 30, and 777,620 tourists were under 18 years old.
The National Statistical Committee noted that visits by tourists from 205 different countries during the first six months of 2026 demonstrate the wide geographical diversity of the country's international tourism market.
According to the National Statistical Committee, over 3.5 million citizens of Uzbekistan traveled abroad for tourism in the first half of 2026. The agency reported that the number of such outbound tourist trips increased by 2,500 compared to the same period last year.
From January to June, Kyrgyzstan ranked first among the most sought-after destinations for Uzbek travelers, welcoming 1,547,589 visitors. Kazakhstan came in second with 667,722 tourists, and Tajikistan was third with 619,515 visitors.
The top ten most popular places also included Russia, which attracted 183,759 guests, Saudi Arabia with 153,591 visitors, Turkey—127,241 tourists, the United Arab Emirates—41,780 people, China—36,502, Egypt—25,905, and Vietnam—23,409.
The statistics show that Central Asian countries bordering Uzbekistan continue to make up the main share of outbound tourism from Uzbekistan. Furthermore, besides the region, the most popular destinations remain Russia, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey.
