Medical workers emphasize that five victims lost their lives due to significant delays in receiving medical care and negligence from relatives who sought tantriks for rituals.
As soon as the rains began, there was a sudden rise in the number of snake bite cases in the district. According to official statistics from the district hospital, 194 cases were recorded from January to June 15. Of particular concern is the fact that 31 new snake bite cases were registered in the first fifteen days of July alone. However, most patients who arrived at the hospital in time managed to save their lives.
Dr. Surendra Singh warns: 'If someone is bitten by a snake, do not waste time. This is a very important moment; immediately take the patient to the district hospital.' Doctors assert that disbelief is the main obstacle in snake bites. Instead of seeking timely medical attention, people consult tantriks and perform rituals, which contributes to the spread of venom throughout the body.
Last year, in 2025, 255 snake bite cases were registered in the district, resulting in two deaths. Dr. Surendra Singh also reported that they are constantly monitoring the situation through the IDSP portal. He assured the public that the Mainpuri district hospital has an adequate supply of anti-snake venom (ASV) and necessary vaccines. He urged residents during the rainy season to travel at night with a flashlight, avoid walking barefoot, and ensure that trash does not accumulate around them. It is also recommended to maintain a distance from mesh walls, as animals often hide in such places.

The woman's treatment started through the ART center, which is provided free of charge by the state. Although there is no definitive cure for HIV yet, regular medication intake and adherence to precautions allow infected individuals to lead normal lives.

Dyes used in tattoos can trigger allergic reactions and other skin reactions in many people.
