Heads of the national standardization organizations of Iran and India emphasized the need to develop technical interaction and the significance of standardization for improving the quality of goods and services, as well as for facilitating trade operations.
According to IRNA, a meeting took place during the gathering of heads of national standardization organizations of BRICS countries in Bangalore. At this meeting, Farzaneh Ansari, head of the Iranian National Organization for Standardization, held talks with Pramod Kumar Tiwari, Director General of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS).
During this discussion, both sides examined opportunities to expand bilateral partnership in the fields of standardization, conformity assessment, quality infrastructure creation, exchange of technical experience, as well as educational and specialized cooperation.
Furthermore, the leaders of the national standardization organizations of Iran and India highlighted the importance of strengthening ties between the two institutions. They noted that existing opportunities can be utilized to develop technical cooperation, which plays a key role in improving product quality and simplifying trade.
This meeting took place parallel to the assembly of heads of national standardization organizations of BRICS countries, organized by the Bureau of Indian Standards in Bangalore. The goal of this general assembly was to develop technical cooperation, achieve convergence in the field of standardization, and strengthen the quality infrastructure among BRICS members.
During a meeting between the Iranian Minister of Oil and the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Nicaragua, attention was drawn to the necessity of strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two states in the field of oil and energy.
According to the Iranian Ministry of Oil, Mohsen Paknejad held talks on Saturday with Waldrak Ludvig Yentzsche Whitaker, the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Nicaragua. The Nicaraguan Minister arrived in Tehran to participate in a memorial ceremony for the late Leader of the Islamic Revolution.
Within the framework of this meeting, both sides stressed the importance of expanding interaction in various economic spheres, including energy and the oil industry. At the beginning of the meeting, paying tribute to the deceased Leader, the Minister of Oil highly praised the visit of the Nicaraguan Foreign Minister and his delegation to the mourning ceremony.
Mohsen Paknejad noted that, given the close relations between the friendly and allied countries Iran and Nicaragua on the international stage, the potential for expanding these interactions is very significant. He also mentioned the golden investment opportunities available in Iran, especially in the energy sector.
