During a meeting between the Iranian Minister of Oil and the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Nicaragua, attention was drawn to the necessity of strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two states in the field of oil and energy.
Negotiations in Tehran
According to the Iranian Ministry of Oil, Mohsen Paknejad held talks on Saturday with Waldrak Ludvig Yentzsche Whitaker, the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Nicaragua. The Nicaraguan Minister arrived in Tehran to participate in a memorial ceremony for the late Leader of the Islamic Revolution.

Within the framework of this meeting, both sides stressed the importance of expanding interaction in various economic spheres, including energy and the oil industry. At the beginning of the meeting, paying tribute to the deceased Leader, the Minister of Oil highly praised the visit of the Nicaraguan Foreign Minister and his delegation to the mourning ceremony.

Mohsen Paknejad noted that, given the close relations between the friendly and allied countries Iran and Nicaragua on the international stage, the potential for expanding these interactions is very significant.
