A meeting was held at the University of State Physical Education and Sports of Uzbekistan dedicated to the high-quality organization of professional (creative) exams for the 2026/2027 academic year.
Increasing Interest in Sports
It was emphasized at the meeting that due to the high achievements of Uzbek athletes at the Olympic Games, Asian and world championships, as well as international competitions, the interest of young people entering the sports field with high hopes is growing year by year. It was noted that large-scale reforms are being carried out to select talented athletes and provide them with targeted training, so special attention was paid to ensuring that the university's admission procedures are fair and transparent.
Preparation for Admission
The Rector of the university, Rashid Matkarimov, provided the attendees with information on the preparation conducted at the higher educational institution for the 2026 admission procedures, as well as the measures taken to ensure the honest and transparent conduct of professional (creative) exams.
Candidate Assessment Mechanisms
To guarantee the fairness of the process, 34 experienced specialists and coaches from relevant sports federations, 149 professors and lecturers from the university, and 55 coaches from sports education institutions were involved. It was stated that during the professional exams, strict control will be exercised to ensure that the abilities, physical fitness, technical, and tactical skills of each applicant are assessed based on objective and clear criteria.
Automation of Results
It is planned that the exam results will be entered into a unified sports ERP platform in real time, and the individual results of each applicant will be automatically evaluated.
