Modern biomechanical studies involving highly qualified boxers were conducted in the sports biomechanics laboratory at the University of Physical Culture and Sport of Uzbekistan.
As part of these studies, conducted under the supervision of Professor Soyib Tajiboyev, athlete Bakhodir Jalolov, a two-time Olympic champion and multiple world champion, was analyzed using a corresponding scientific system in three dimensions to study his technical movements.
Furthermore, a comprehensive assessment of parameters such as reaction speed, coordination abilities, functional state of the respiratory system, muscle strength, and body composition was carried out using special equipment and devices.
During the scientific research, the biomechanical execution of punches by the boxer, his motor coordination, balance, speed, as well as the kinematic connections between body segments were deeply studied. Based on the findings, scientific recommendations were developed aimed at further improving the athlete's technical skills, increasing sporting results, and reducing the risk of injury.
It is important to note that these studies provide a new impetus to the development of sports education in the country and scientific analysis in the field of sports biomechanics. The integration of artificial intelligence, digital motion analysis, and modern biomechanical technologies into the sports training process lays the foundation for developing new approaches to assessing and developing the functional capabilities of highly qualified athletes, such as Bakhodir Jalolov, on a scientific basis.
The sports biomechanics laboratory, established at the University of Physical Culture and Sport of Uzbekistan, is of great importance as it aims to scientifically support the success of the country's athletes on the international arena, improve their technical readiness, and develop sports science itself.
Today, July 10, the next meeting of the Ministry of Sport of the Republic of Uzbekistan will take place.
At the previous meeting of the Ministry of Sport, discussions included the completion of summer certification among students of vocational educational institutions, the implementation of the 'Tashabbus Budget' projects, the progress of construction and repair works in the regions, increasing energy efficiency, and preparation for the 2026–2027 autumn-winter season.
Furthermore, issues regarding the transfer and acceptance of purchased sports equipment and gear, as well as its preservation, were reviewed. Work conducted under the nationwide program 'Yashil maqon' (Green Zone) was also studied.
Reports from responsible persons regarding the advancement of digitalization in sports institutions, the effective use of information systems, the fight against corruption, ensuring financial discipline, and the targeted use of budget funds were heard.
An analysis of the participation of private sports clubs in the current year in the 'Hokim Olympiadasi', achieved results, and identified shortcomings was also conducted.
A meeting was held at the University of State Physical Education and Sports of Uzbekistan dedicated to the high-quality organization of professional (creative) exams for the 2026/2027 academic year.
It was emphasized at the meeting that due to the high achievements of Uzbek athletes at the Olympic Games, Asian and world championships, as well as international competitions, the interest of young people entering the sports field with high hopes is growing year by year. It was noted that large-scale reforms are being carried out to select talented athletes and provide them with targeted training, so special attention was paid to ensuring that the university's admission procedures are fair and transparent.
The Rector of the university, Rashid Matkarimov, provided the attendees with information on the preparation conducted at the higher educational institution for the 2026 admission procedures, as well as the measures taken to ensure the honest and transparent conduct of professional (creative) exams.
To guarantee the fairness of the process, 34 experienced specialists and coaches from relevant sports federations, 149 professors and lecturers from the university, and 55 coaches from sports education institutions were involved. It was stated that during the professional exams, strict control will be exercised to ensure that the abilities, physical fitness, technical, and tactical skills of each applicant are assessed based on objective and clear criteria.
It is planned that the exam results will be entered into a unified sports ERP platform in real time, and the individual results of each applicant will be automatically evaluated.
