Uzbek Railways will begin operating a new daily electric train running between Tashkent and Bekabad starting July 18th.
Route and Schedule
The passenger service under numbers 7050/7049 will operate daily. The train route includes stops in Yangiyul, Chinaz, Syrdarya, Gulistan, Yangiyer, and Khavast. According to the schedule, the train departs from Bekabad at 6:00 AM and arrives in Tashkent at 9:16 AM. The return trip departs from Tashkent at 6:34 PM and reaches Bekabad at 9:38 PM.
Characteristics and Ticket Prices
The new EP3D electric set consists of six carriages. It is equipped with air conditioning, USB charging ports, wireless internet access, and elevators for passengers with disabilities. The maximum speed of the train is 120 km/h, and its capacity allows it to carry up to 586 passengers. It is planned that the train will serve about 1000 passengers daily, and the annual passenger flow will reach 300,000 people. Ticket prices are set at 15,000 soms for adults and 9,000 soms for children.
Inspection and Infrastructure Development
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev inspected the new train during his working trip to Bekabad on July 13th, using it on the route from Tashkent. Additionally, construction of the Nurafshan–Bekabad–Yangiyer railway line began in May of this year in the Tashkent region. This project involves the construction of four new stations, 21 overpass, six bridges, and one traction substation.
