Repairs have been completed on a certain section of Mustakillik Avenue in Tashkent, which runs from Mirzo Ulugbek Street to Akkurgan Street. After extending the work deadlines, traffic on this segment was restored on July 16.
Start of Reconstruction and Restrictions
Simultaneously with the resumption of traffic, road services began reconstructing the opposite part of the highway, which led to the introduction of new restrictions for transport. Initially, the opening of this section was planned for the morning of July 13, but the deadlines had to be adjusted due to problems found with the drainage system during the work.
Current Work and Project Goals
Currently, the work has moved to a new stage. From 01:00 on July 16 to 22:00 on July 31, traffic on the section of Mustakillik Avenue located between the intersection with Parkent Street and the intersection with Mirzo Ulugbek Street is completely closed. The Center for Road Traffic Organization (CRTO) specified that these restrictions are necessary to continue the phased reconstruction of the avenue.
According to the project, the reconstruction aims to modernize the road infrastructure, improve road safety levels, optimize traffic flows, and ensure more convenient conditions for public transport use. Drivers are advised to plan their routes in advance, taking into account these temporary changes in the traffic scheme.
