TIM has introduced new control plan options, with the TIM Controle Fit annual plan being a highlight. This specific plan offers 20 GB of internet and costs R$ 30 monthly when contracted annually, totaling R$ 360.00 paid in 12 installments.
For those who opt for the monthly model, the plan offers 15 GB of internet for R$ 35.00 per month. The subscription is easy to arrange and can be done via credit card, allowing the subscriber to choose between monthly renewal or a one-year commitment, where the values become more advantageous.
Both versions of TIM Controle Fit include 4G/4.5G/5G DSS/5G coverage, national roaming rights, unlimited calls (using code 41) to any carrier, and unlimited SMS to TIM numbers. For external carriers, SMS costs R$ 0.99 per day.
It is important to note that TIM no longer provides unlimited access to WhatsApp, nor to other popular platforms like Instagram and TikTok. Inquiries made by Tecnoblog to the TIM Controle Fit regulation did not find mention of these social networks.
Thompson Gomes, head of marketing, explained that this initiative aims to serve customers facing credit barriers. He mentioned that about 40% of people visiting the company's stores cannot contract plans with billed payment due to this issue. According to him, delinquency has shown a considerable increase in Brazil.
In comparison, the other available packages in TIM Controle start at R$ 58.99, offering 41 GB, according to the official website. Despite the introduction of these new offers, previous plans remain valid, and consumers will not be automatically transferred to the new packages.
WhatsApp is developing and testing a special standalone mode that will allow the application to be used on tablets. Previously, using WhatsApp on tablets required having the main smartphone.
Thanks to this standalone mode, the tablet can be used as the primary device. This feature was reported by the website Wabetainfo, which tracks upcoming updates and features of WhatsApp.
Some users have been given access to the new beta version. According to Wabetainfo, a new screen with the 'Choose An Option' option at the top will appear on the tablet. Below, two options will be available: 'Login Into WhatsApp' and 'Transfer Your Account.'
The first option allows users to connect their main device, which requires linking the WhatsApp account using a quick response code (QR Code). The second option allows the tablet to become the primary device. For this, it is necessary to enter a phone number and authenticate it.
Using WhatsApp as the primary account on a tablet or smartphone will lead to automatic logout from all old devices. Furthermore, if chat backups have not been synchronized, they cannot be restored. However, if the primary WhatsApp account is used on a tablet, it will not automatically log out after 14 days, which will improve the user experience and eliminate the need for users to constantly carry two devices.
