Discussion on the Production of In-Demand Medicines in Uzbekistan with a Russian Company

According to data from the international logistics platform ATI.SU, in the second quarter of 2026, there was a sharp increase in demand for domestic freight transport in Uzbekistan, while growth in international directions almost stalled.

Dynamics of import transport

The platform noted that the number of orders for import transport decreased by 9% compared to the same period last year and by 55% compared to the first quarter. Meanwhile, average rates remained approximately at last year's level.

Changes by direction

By direction, orders to Russia decreased by 18% year-on-year and by 61% compared to the first quarter. Transport from Kazakhstan fell by 10%, while the direction to Belarus recorded an almost twofold increase.

Export stability

Stability is maintained in the field of export transport: the number of applications for road transport increased by 1% year-on-year. A decrease of 3% was noted for the direction to Russia, and an increase of 31% for Belarus. The average cost of freight transport by road on export routes slightly increased.

Growth in domestic demand

The most significant growth was recorded in domestic transport. In the second quarter, the number of applications doubled compared to the first quarter and quadrupled compared to the same period last year. The company explains this phenomenon as real demand and the spread of digital logistics tools.

Reasons for the decline in external markets

Farid Vohidov, director of the ATI.SU representative office in Uzbekistan, linked the decline in directions to Russia to a number of factors: sanctions pressure, border congestion in Kazakhstan, increased customs control and regulatory requirements, as well as rising fuel prices, increased delivery times, and the high ruble exchange rate. He emphasized that these factors may intensify in the third quarter, but continued growth in demand, especially in the domestic market, is expected.

The international industrial exhibition 'Innoprom-2026' is taking place in Yekaterinburg from July 6 to 9. The main theme this year is 'Industry 360: Production Without Borders.' The exhibition showcases various achievements of Russian enterprises in the field of transport and industry.

Transport Innovations

At the 'Sinara' group's stand, a model of a high-speed railway train designed for a high-speed mainline was demonstrated. It is planned that the rolling stock will be produced at the 'Ural Lokomotivlari' plant, with cooperation from over 150 component suppliers from 36 regions of Russia.

In the aviation sector, Rostec presented the APD-13 piston engine for civil unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and the M105 power unit for small aviation. The APD-13 engine is designed for civil drone flights at altitudes up to 3000 meters. The 'Delta-T-M' UAV, intended for operational monitoring of industrial facilities and ensuring their security, which can be used at large factories, oil and gas, and energy facilities, was also shown for the first time.

Robotics and Automotive Industry

In the robotics segment, a remotely controlled concrete crusher capable of operating in hazardous areas without human involvement was presented. According to manufacturers, this device is even capable of lifting ladders. In the automotive industry, new models were presented: the 'i-Sky' crossover from 'Evolute', the 'Lada Iskra' from 'AvtoVAZ', and production-ready models of 'Lada Azimut'. Additionally, the 'Moskvich' M70 crossover was presented, and Kama showcased the 'Atom' electric car assembled at a Moscow plant.

The Kaluga region's stand featured the 'Tenet T9' crossover, which is planned to be produced at the former 'Volkswagen' plant, while the Tula region's exhibit displayed the 'Haval H7' road vehicle manufactured by 'Great Wall Motor.'

Aviation and Shipbuilding Development

Regarding aviation, it was announced that the first batches of updated Tu-214 aircraft are being sent to state customers, according to Vadim Badekhag, head of the United Aircraft Corporation. The first batch will consist of 11 aircraft. Dmitry Yadrov, Director of Rosaviatsiya, reported that the certification of the regional 'Baikal' aircraft for 9 seats is scheduled for the third quarter of 2027, and the certification of the 'Osvey' aircraft for the Russia-Belarus route with 19 passengers is set for 2029.

In the shipbuilding sector, it was learned that more than 150 different vessels were delivered in Russia in the first half of 2025 and 2026. Work has also begun on designing tankers that will be fully produced in Russia for liquefied gas transportation.

International Participation at the Exhibition

The exhibition features broad international participation. Indonesia received the status of a partner country for 'Innoprom-2026' this year. Furthermore, national pavilions represent Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Belarus. Companies from Vietnam, India, and China are also present among the foreign participants.

According to Reuters, Russia has started importing fuel from India with the aim of easing the gasoline shortage in the domestic market. It should be noted that India is currently the largest buyer of Russian crude oil.

Supply Volumes and Plans

According to reliable industry sources, about 60,000 tons of gasoline were shipped to the Russian Federation by sea. Another source estimates the volume of products sent on two tankers at 30-40 thousand tons. Furthermore, to stabilize the domestic market, Moscow plans to import fuel from various countries, including Belarus, in the amount of almost 400,000 tons monthly.

Cooperation with Belarus

In June of this year, Belarus supplied more than 70 thousand tons of fuel to Russia by rail, which is almost three times higher than the figures for the same period in May.

Details of Imports from India

It is currently unknown which specific Indian refinery supplies gasoline to Russia. According to the agency's calculations, gasoline consumption in Russia during the summer season amounts to no less than 110 thousand tons daily. It is worth mentioning that in June, India's crude oil imports from Russia reached a record 2.7 million barrels per day, accounting for more than half of the country's total oil imports.
