According to a message from the Ministry of Energy press service, in Uzbekistan, in the Jazirabad region, records for electricity consumption and generation have been updated for the third consecutive day.
Dynamics of indicators over recent days
Consumption and electricity production indicators showed steady growth over three days. On July 13, consumption was recorded at 278.6 million and production at 281.5 million kWh. The next day, July 14, consumption reached 284 million, and production amounted to 287.3 million kWh. On this day, consumption exceeded the historical maximum for the winter period, which was 283 million kWh.
Latest achievements
On July 15, new historical highs were set: consumption reached 288.1 million, and generation reached 291.4 million kWh. This figure is 4.1 million kWh higher than the previous day, which accounts for almost 1.4 percent. Thus, over three days, total electricity consumption increased by 9.5 million, and production by 9.9 million kWh.
Comparison with other regions
For comparison, in Poland, a country with a population similar to Uzbekistan, the average daily electricity demand in 2025 was 474.6 million kWh, while in Morocco this indicator reached 127.3 million kWh.
Response and warnings
Under high load conditions, energy enterprises intensified the work of emergency repair crews. The Ministry also informed about the possibility of temporary power outages in some areas due to technical malfunctions.
