Shohzahon Yoriyev, a master's student at the Yunus Rajabiy Institute of Uzbek National Music Art, grew up in an artistic family, which contributed to his early acquaintance with music and art. His father drew musical notes from childhood, wishing for his son to become a great creator.
Destinies are certainly linked to intentions. Today, Shohzahon has achieved success in the field of art, just as his father dreamed. He received education from several masters at the 12th Musical and Artistic School and subsequently at the specialized art school of Bukhara region, in Romitansk district of Bukhara. His interest in the rubab and his desire to play national instruments helped him expand his skills by studying maqam paths and maqam works.
In 2014, Shohzahon won the republican stage of the 'Muhiddin Qoriyoqubov' competition. In 2015, he took first place at the republican stage of the 'Kamalak Yulduzlari' competition. In 2018, he took third place in the republican competition 'Yosh Sozandalar' named after Farrukh Mirusmonov. In 2021, he received second place at the 'Republic Young Performers' competition, as well as first place at the republican stage of the 'Young Maqam Performers' competition named after Yunus Rajabiy. Furthermore, he took second place at the prestigious 'Mugham Olami' competition held in Baku, Azerbaijan, as part of the 6th International Mugham Festival.
In 2024, he was awarded second place at the international competition 'Sharq Taronalari,' organized under the auspices of UNESCO in Samarkand. Continuing to actively participate in various competitions and achieve honorable places, Shohzahon makes a significant contribution to the promotion and development of national maqam art. In 2025, all of Shohzahon Yoriyev's achievements were highly appreciated, and he was honored with the state award 'Mard O'g'lon' from the head of state. The young talent viewed this recognition as a great responsibility and intensified his work. He intends to deeply study the types of 'Shashmaqom' and continue his activities at the Yunus Rajabiy Institute of Uzbek National Music Art, as well as teach the secrets of national maqam art to future generations.
Speaking about how he achieved results in the field of art, Shohzahon emphasizes the great contribution and effort of his father. He recalls that while his peers played in the streets, he stayed home and practiced music. His father would give him tasks, saying, 'Do this, and then you can play.' Sometimes he got angry at his father because of this. Then his father would say, 'Wait, the time will come, you will understand everything, you will thank me.' Now he understands that thanks to his parents, he found his path. He strives to study the subtle secrets of our national musical art and follow the example of experienced masters in the maqam direction. Moreover, he aims to pass on the heritage of his ancestors by teaching the younger generation our national art and preserving its integrity for the future.
The justice mechanism helped resolve a complaint related to the violation of labor rights in the Guliston district. As a result, the labor rights of a nurse who could not return to her previous workplace after maternity leave and childcare were restored.
Nilufar Kholmatova, who worked as a nurse at the 'Yulduz' family medicine center of the Guliston District Medical Association, appealed to the district justice department. She reported that she took maternity leave in 2019 and subsequently extended childcare leave in 2022 in accordance with the law. However, after the leave ended, she faced problems trying to return to her previous job and requested legal assistance.
Specialists from the district justice department conducted a comprehensive study of the appeal, performing a legal analysis of the employee's labor rights situation. During the investigation, appropriate measures were taken in accordance with the requirements of current labor legislation.
According to the law, the labor rights of employees on maternity leave or childcare leave are guaranteed by the state. After completing the leave, the employee has the right to be reinstated in their previous position or another position with similar working conditions and salary preservation.
Thanks to the legal intervention of the justice department, the applicant's labor rights were fully restored, and she gained the opportunity to continue her employment in the same position at the 'Yulduz' family medicine center.
Every person desires a happy life, but life paths vary. Some face health problems, some lose loved ones, and others need help from others due to disability or difficult living conditions. For such people, what is most valuable is not so much material aid as the presence of someone who understands them and is ready to listen to their pain.
In such situations, social workers are approached. Their duties are not limited to just processing documents or providing services. A social worker directly influences a person's fate: they study the problems, find solutions, and cooperate with necessary institutions. Sometimes they provide moral support, and sometimes they instill faith in life.
One example of such charitable activity is the work of social worker Shakhnoza Ismatova, who has been working in the Korasuv district of Shahrisabz city since January 2025. In this district, where more than 3400 people live, she has opened over 45 cases for 'social work' for different families, providing targeted social services based on individual plans.
One such family is that of Laziz Zhuraev, who has a Group I disability and is blind. The social worker studied the family's social situation and entered them into the 'Social Register'. A special allowance was provided to the citizen to facilitate independent movement. Within the framework of the 'Step to an Active Life' program, home care services were organized, and his wife was designated as a guardian.
Furthermore, Ghulchehrai Zhuraeva was given the opportunity to acquire an apartment under housing conditions. Thanks to cooperation with trade points, a source of income was formed for the family. Currently, Laziz Zhuraev is studying as an electrician's apprentice and independently performs simple repairs at home, which indicates the development of professional skills.
The life of Dilobar Khurramova, who lives in this district and has a Group II disability, has also undergone significant changes thanks to social services. Based on the application of an unemployed citizen, his opportunities were studied, and a special social program was developed.
As part of this initiative, a mental arithmetic club was created involving five women and daughters from families with disabilities included in the 'Social Register'. As a result, the participants mastered a new profession and gained the opportunity to earn money. Dilobar Khurramova also found employment through this program and currently works in a private preschool educational institution.
These examples show that the social protection system serves not only to provide allowances or material aid but also to create the conditions necessary for people to live independently, be employed, and have a dignified place in society. Most importantly, behind every solved problem are the fates of people, their belief in tomorrow, and new opportunities.
Visits to museums, theaters, and other cultural sites were organized in the capital for employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Department of Special Machine Building and Construction of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. The goal of these events was to meaningfully fill the free time of temporary military servicemen, promote the expression of their cultural inclinations, and enrich their spiritual horizons.
During the visits, participants were able to gain a deeper understanding of the country's rich historical heritage, national values, and culture. Furthermore, they enjoyed highly professional performances by creative groups presented on theater stages.
These cultural and educational events played an important role in broadening the horizons, improving the aesthetic taste, and raising the spiritual level of both the employees and the temporary military servicemen, as well as in the meaningful use of their free time.
Upon completion of the events, participants expressed sincere gratitude to the museum and theater teams, emphasizing that such spiritual and educational events play an important role in achieving high spiritual upliftment and respect for national values among young people.
