The 36th anniversary of the Uzbek language gaining state language status has arrived. This year, during the celebration of Uzbek Language Day, the head of state signed a decree concerning additional measures for the development of the state language. Citizens and all enthusiasts of the state language welcomed this decision with great joy.
The adoption of this decision was a significant event. As part of the celebration of Uzbek Language Day, it was decided to prepare and submit a draft regulatory legal act to the Cabinet of Ministers, which provides for the creation of a multi-volume 'National Dictionary of Uzbekistan' by 2026. The issue of preparing and printing the book 'Native Language. Dictionary' by December 1, 2026, was also initiated.
Furthermore, it is planned to develop a draft regulatory legal act to be submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers by May 1, 2026. This draft will concern ensuring the active integration of the state language into the field of information technologies and communications, with the participation of the Ministry of Digital Technologies, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, and the Academy of Sciences. This is viewed as a way to achieve successful processes in the era of modern technologies.
At the initiative of the Tashkent city mayor's office, in accordance with the requirements of Article 20 of the Law 'On the State Language' and Article 6 of the Law 'On Advertising' in its new edition, extensive organizational and practical work and advertising events were previously conducted to ensure the use of the state language and Latin script in external advertising media. During the first six months of 2026, working groups identified and corrected external signs and texts in foreign languages or containing spelling errors, bringing them into compliance with the law's requirements. Professional, advertising, announcement, and informational texts were organized.
To ensure compliance with paragraph 12 of the Cabinet of Ministers Decree No. 171 dated October 14, 2024, thousands of objects not conforming to legal documents, including external signs and texts in foreign languages or with errors, were identified and eliminated. These objects were found in various districts such as Bektemir, Mirobod, Mirzo Ulugbek, Sergeli, Olmazor, Uchtepa, Shaykhontohur, Yashnobod, Chilonzor, Yunusobod, Yakkasaroy, and Yangiha'ot. Corresponding measures are also being taken regarding signs, announcements, price lists, and other inscriptions in shopping centers, restaurants, cafes, kitchens, stores, as well as in production and service enterprises.
Explanatory work was conducted with building owners and entrepreneurs in centers dealing in Chinese goods, cafes with Chinese cuisine, as well as Chinese cars and their technical equipment, where signs were made in Chinese. Control over the primary use of the state language was established. Currently, necessary measures are being taken to officially register signs, announcements, price lists, and other informational materials in the state language, providing translations into other languages, according to legislative requirements.
As part of the reforms being carried out in New Uzbekistan, one of the priority areas has been attention to the individual, care for their dignity and health. Thanks to comprehensive support and the provision of targeted social services to people with disabilities, lonely elderly citizens, and those in need of assistance, their quality of life is improving.
A vivid example of such positive changes is demonstrated by the story of one family in the Kogon district of Bukhara region. In the village of Kogon mahalla, where more than three thousand people live, there are 70 people with disabilities, 4 people with disabilities requiring constant care, and two lonely elderly people.
The mahalla's social worker, Nodirbek Khamidov, individually studied the needs of each of these citizens and provided them with targeted social assistance and services.
One such person is Turaqul Bobo Botirov. This elderly man, who suffered a stroke several years ago, was unable to get out of bed for a long time. This difficult ordeal changed not only his life but also that of his wife, Sharofat opa Narziyeva, who cared for Turaqul Bobo with love and patience for years.
After a comprehensive study of the family's social situation, the mahalla's social worker included Turaqul Bobo in the list of lonely elderly citizens and provided him with social and domestic services at home under the 'Active Life' program.
Under this program, Turaqul Bobo regularly underwent in-depth medical examinations, and his hospitalization in sanatorium and health resorts for health recovery was organized. Rehabilitation procedures conducted under the supervision of specialists played an important role in restoring his health.
Material support for the family was also not overlooked. A one-time financial aid was provided on the occasion of the autumn-winter season and the Ramadan holiday, which helped ensure the family's daily needs and improve their living conditions.
The most joyful result was that the provided medical and social services proved to be more effective than expected. Turaqul Bobo, who was previously completely confined to bed, has now started walking independently, strictly following the doctors' recommendations. Every step he takes is a testament to the success of the efforts of his loved ones and the people who helped him.
This case confirms the truth: if a person is given care, attention, and targeted help, even the most difficult trials can be overcome. The recovery of one person's health brings a smile to the whole family and revives hope in its heart.
These good deeds carried out in the Kogon mahalla clearly show that the social protection system serves not only to provide assistance but also to return a person to an active life. Turaqul Bobo's life journey is a bright and instructive example that when love, care, and state attention are combined, results comparable to a miracle can be achieved.

The statute of limitations is defined as the period established by law for protecting human rights through the court. However, there are certain requirements that are not limited by the statute of limitations, allowing one to appeal to the court at any time.
According to Imomali Tuev, an employee of Tashkent State Law University, the requirements that are not subject to the statute of limitations include the protection of personal property rights and intangible assets. These include honor, dignity, privacy, as well as name and surname.

The basis for these provisions is Article 163 of the Civil Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
