Maruti Suzuki India, the market leader in automobiles, announced on Wednesday a significant increase in total sales volume. For June, the company sold 200,390 units, representing a 19.3% growth compared to the same month last year, when sales were 167,993 units.
Sales Dynamics by Segment
According to the report submitted to regulatory bodies, the total volume of passenger car sales in the domestic market reached 147,187 units last month, whereas in June 2025, 118,906 units were sold, demonstrating an increase of 23.8 percent.
Breakdown by Vehicle Type
In the mini-car segment, which includes the Alto and S-Presso models, 11,416 units were sold in June, compared to 6,414 units a year earlier. Sales of compact cars such as Baleno, Celerio, Dzire, Ignis, Swift, and WagonR increased to 63,815 units last month, exceeding the figure of 55,205 units for June 2025.
Regarding SUVs, including Brezza, Ertiga, e Vitara, Fronx, Grand Vitara, Invicto, Jimny, Victoris, and XL6, their sales rose to 61,726 units in the reporting month, compared to 47,947 units during the same period last year. Furthermore, the company noted that Eeco van sales amounted to 10,230 units last month versus 9,340 units in June 2025.
Commercial Vehicle Sales
Maruti Suzuki India also reported that sales of the Super Carry light commercial vehicle (LCV) model grew to 2,963 units in June, an increase compared to the 2,433 units registered in the same month of the previous year.
