The Agency for Industrial Cooperation and Public Procurement of Uzbekistan held a meeting with a delegation from the French Development Agency (AFD) to discuss further improvement of the public procurement system.
Key Areas of Discussion
During the negotiations, the main focus was on the digitalization of procurement procedures, the creation of interactive services, expanding the capabilities of electronic platforms, as well as increasing transparency and openness in the field of public procurement and improving control mechanisms.
Working with Unreliable Suppliers
Participants also discussed in detail the system for maintaining a register of unreliable suppliers. The parties exchanged views on the formation of this register, its legal framework, and the role of this tool in minimizing risks during public procurement and ensuring the fulfillment of contractual obligations.
Future Cooperation
As a result of the negotiations, an agreement was reached to continue studying best international practices, implementing modern solutions, developing digital services, as well as expanding practical interaction and information exchange in the field of public procurement.
