The trophy represented a significant milestone for Peter “Asuna” Mazuryk. This success crowned the journey of one of the players most closely associated with the team, which boasts a roster composed of veterans and new talents.
The competition's Most Valuable Player (MVP) award was given to Matthew “Cryocells” Panganiban. During the grand final, the athlete delivered a crucial performance, finishing the series with 65 eliminations and 25 assists. After receiving the recognition, Cryocells expressed that although he had moments of doubt about his own potential in his career, the achievement serves as a reward for the collective effort with his teammates.
Journey to the Title
100 Thieves' journey was marked by dominance from the group stage. After accumulating two initial victories, the team eliminated MIBR in the quarterfinals and subsequently overcame Nongshim RedForce, who were the champions of Masters Santiago, in the semifinals. In the final, the team confirmed its favoritism against NRG to lift the Esports World Cup trophy, consolidating its position among the top international VALORANT teams and advancing to the next events of the season.
