The Chairman of the Uzeltekhsanoat Association, Mirziyod Yunusov, held negotiations with the head of the Free Economic Zone (FEZ) Vitebsk administration, Mikhail Skurat. The discussion took place within the framework of the III Forum of Regions of Belarus and Uzbekistan.
The parties focused on effectively utilizing the opportunities of free economic zones, implementing joint investment projects, and developing industrial interaction between enterprises of both countries.
During the meeting, information was presented about the possibilities of FEZ Vitebsk, which was established in 1999. Currently, this free economic zone includes 17 sectors covering a total area of 2425 hectares. The total volume of investments attracted by its residents has reached almost 1.4 billion US dollars.
It was noted that 53 investment projects with capital from 11 countries are currently being implemented in the FEZ. Enterprises located in the zone provide employment for over 16,000 people. Investors are provided with tax and customs benefits, engineering infrastructure is created, and access to the markets of Europe and the Eurasian Economic Union is guaranteed thanks to the developed transport and logistics network.
Following the negotiations, the parties reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening mutually beneficial partnership, expanding practical cooperation, and continuing work on new joint projects.
The Chairman of the Uzeltekhsanoat Association, Mirziyod Yunusov, visited Poland and met with the company Entalpia Europe. During the visit, the parties discussed the potential for expanding cooperation with enterprises from Uzbekistan.
The Uzbek delegation familiarized itself with the production processes, product range, quality control system, as well as the warehouse and logistics infrastructure of Entalpia Europe. This company was founded in 2016 and specializes in the development and production of solutions for heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment (HVAC-R).
Entalpia Europe produces refrigerants, air conditioners, installation components for air conditioning systems, ventilation valves, diffusers, flexible ducts, and fittings. The company also maintains a wide network of partners and distributors in Italy, Germany, Greece, Northern European countries, and other European states.
During the negotiations, prospects for industrial cooperation were discussed, including the localization of HVAC-R product manufacturing in Uzbekistan. Furthermore, the parties considered the possibility of producing copper pipes and installation components, as well as exchanging technologies and experience and organizing mutual supply of products.
The Joint Stock Company Uzkimyosanoat held a meeting with Sergey Filatov, Rector of the D. Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology in Russia. The goal of the negotiations was to discuss prospects for developing joint interaction in the fields of education, science, and training personnel for the chemical industry.
The participants reviewed issues related to training highly qualified specialists, strengthening ties between education and production, and expanding scientific exchange. Special attention was paid to increasing the involvement of the university's branch in the educational and innovation cluster of the chemical industry.
The creation of a dual education system, organization of internships for students, and improvement of graduate employment mechanisms were also discussed. Furthermore, the parties talked about implementing joint scientific and educational projects adapted to industrial needs, promoting scientific research, academic exchange programs, and professional development initiatives for specialists.
As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached on the further development of partnership in the fields of education, science, and production, as well as on joint work to train competitive personnel and form a modern educational environment for the chemical industry.
