In order to ensure the fulfillment of the tasks defined in Resolution No. 124, adopted under the leadership of the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan on June 30, 2026, extensive preparations were made for the high-quality execution of the traditional 'Zomin Seminar' for talented youth, which has been held since 1997.
Event Start in Zomin
Today, seminar participants were greeted solemnly at the center of Zomin district in an atmosphere of sincerity and high spirit, accompanied by the sounds of karnay and surna. A luncheon was organized for the guests as part of the traditional 'Meronshoh' events complex, where a sincere conversation took place.
Attendees at the Event
Mehribon Abdurakhmonova, head of the regional branch of the Union of Writers of Uzbekistan for Jizzakh region; Alisher Abduganiev, head of Zomin district; Dilmurad Khudoyshukurov, deputy head of Jizzakh region, as well as local young creative workers, public representatives, and mass media representatives, delivered greetings to the event participants.
Further Seminar Program
Afterward, the participants were accommodated in a sanatorium located at the Navoiy Con-Metallurgy complex, in a health complex situated in the Oriklisoi resort area of Zomin district, under the guidance of the Chairman of the Union of Writers of Uzbekistan, Sirojiddin Said.
Content of the Three-Day Program
Over three days, literary discussions, master classes, creative meetings, poetry evenings, round tables, and discussions in the spirit of mentorship are planned. These will be attended by 76 young creative workers who successfully passed the selection stage, 45 gifted students from creative schools, and young authors writing in Uzbek based on proposals from foreign countries within the framework of the 'Young Patriotic Writer' project.
Significance of the 'Zomin Seminar'
'Zomin Seminar', which has become an important tradition of literary life over many years, functions as a unique creative school. It contributes to improving the artistic skill of young authors, supports their creative pursuits, helps identify talents, and ensures close contact with prominent figures in the country's literature.
In the evening, a traditional opening ceremony of the seminar will take place at the district sanatorium.
