Entrance tests began in Andijan: 379 applicants failed to attend the exam on the first day

In order to ensure the fulfillment of the tasks defined in Resolution No. 124, adopted under the leadership of the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan on June 30, 2026, extensive preparations were made for the high-quality execution of the traditional 'Zomin Seminar' for talented youth, which has been held since 1997.

Event Start in Zomin

Today, seminar participants were greeted solemnly at the center of Zomin district in an atmosphere of sincerity and high spirit, accompanied by the sounds of karnay and surna. A luncheon was organized for the guests as part of the traditional 'Meronshoh' events complex, where a sincere conversation took place.

Mehribon Abdurakhmonova, head of the regional branch of the Union of Writers of Uzbekistan for Jizzakh region; Alisher Abduganiev, head of Zomin district; Dilmurad Khudoyshukurov, deputy head of Jizzakh region, as well as local young creative workers, public representatives, and mass media representatives, delivered greetings to the event participants.

Further Seminar Program

Afterward, the participants were accommodated in a sanatorium located at the Navoiy Con-Metallurgy complex, in a health complex situated in the Oriklisoi resort area of Zomin district, under the guidance of the Chairman of the Union of Writers of Uzbekistan, Sirojiddin Said.

Content of the Three-Day Program

Over three days, literary discussions, master classes, creative meetings, poetry evenings, round tables, and discussions in the spirit of mentorship are planned. These will be attended by 76 young creative workers who successfully passed the selection stage, 45 gifted students from creative schools, and young authors writing in Uzbek based on proposals from foreign countries within the framework of the 'Young Patriotic Writer' project.

Significance of the 'Zomin Seminar'

'Zomin Seminar', which has become an important tradition of literary life over many years, functions as a unique creative school. It contributes to improving the artistic skill of young authors, supports their creative pursuits, helps identify talents, and ensures close contact with prominent figures in the country's literature.

In the evening, a traditional opening ceremony of the seminar will take place at the district sanatorium.

Entrance exams were held for 'Jasorat Maktablari' in the Samarkand region. The operation of these schools was launched in accordance with the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan on measures to organize the activities of 'Jasorat Maktablari' and preliminary preparation before admission began.

Organization of the educational process

Starting from last academic year, 'Jasorat' classes were created in selected schools, and student enrollment began. Currently, these classes are functioning in educational institutions designated in 16 districts and cities of the Samarkand region, and students are receiving education.

Goals and admission statistics

According to Farrukh Boltayev, who is responsible for conducting entrance exams to specialized educational institutions, the main goal of creating 'Jasorat Maktablari' is to educate harmonious, healthy, and patriotic young people for the law enforcement system. It is planned to admit 704 students into the regional 'Jasorat Maktablari' this year. More than 1500 5th-grade graduates participated in the tests, answering 20 questions on mathematics and native language, as well as 10 questions on logical thinking.

Additional events and prospects

On the same day, selection exams were also organized at a specialized boarding school called Al-Bukhari and within the framework of the national program 'Support for Talented Youth Initiatives of the President'. This is done to increase students' interest in acquiring knowledge, as well as to pay special attention to identifying and supporting gifted young people.

It is also noted that within the approved general education program, 'Jasorat Maktablari' plans to specialize in certain areas. The possibility of providing preferential admission tracks to higher educational institutions is provided for students who graduate from these schools with high grades in their chosen profile.

Geography of control

According to the agency's count, the largest number of settlements that came under the control of Russian troops from January 1 to June 30 is in the DNR—39 settlements. Additionally, 32 settlements were recorded in the Kharkiv region, 29 in the Zaporizhzhia region, 20 in the Sumy region, and 8 in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

Dynamics and damage

The highest monthly figure was noted in February, when 24 settlements came under control. In January and March, 23 settlements were registered each, in May—21, in June—20, and in April—17. Furthermore, the DNR, Kharkiv, and Zaporizhzhia regions accounted for 100 settlements, which is 78 percent of the total figure.

Strikes on Ukrainian facilities

During this period, Russian armed forces carried out more than 157 high-precision strikes on facilities used in the interests of the Ukrainian army. These strikes were directed against 22 mass objects and at least 135 group objects. The main targets included enterprises of the Ukrainian military-industrial complex, energy and transport facilities, airfields and port infrastructure, as well as ammunition and fuel depots, and sites for drone production, storage, and flights.

Destruction of warehouse capacities

In addition, 1,575 warehouses and storage sites belonging to the Armed Forces of Ukraine were destroyed over the six months. These facilities were used to store ammunition, fuel, material supplies, weapons, military equipment, and spare parts.
