A solo exhibition dedicated to the 130th anniversary of the people's artist of Uzbekistan, Nadezhda Kashina, took place in the Central Hall of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan as part of the 'Our Heritage' cycle.
This exhibition was organized with the assistance of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan, the Directorate of Art Exhibitions, and the Union of Artists of Uzbekistan. Nadezhda Kashina is recognized as one of the creators who made a significant contribution to the formation and development of the national school of painting in Uzbekistan.
Her works vividly reflect folk life, national customs, human figures, and the unique landscapes of her homeland. Her art clearly demonstrates sincere love and respect for the way of life and culture of the Uzbek people.
The exhibition features 50 paintings and graphic works by the artist. Among them, works in the genres of portrait, genre scene, and landscape hold a special place. A significant portion of the exhibits was donated to the Directorate of Art Exhibitions by her husband, Gennadiy Gerasimov.
Most of the displayed works were created after 1940 of the last century. However, some watercolor sketches belong to the early creative period of the artist, allowing for the study of her artistic searches, stages of style formation, and place in the development of national fine art.
Participants of the event emphasized that Nadezhda Kashina's rich creative legacy serves as an important creative school for contemporary representatives of fine art. Her works are highly valued as rare examples of national painting and inspire young creators to new discoveries.
It was noted that the exhibition contributes to a deeper understanding of the history of national fine art, allows visitors to see rare examples of creative heritage, and raises the aesthetic level of art workers.
On hot days, city fountains become one of the most beloved and pleasant places for residents. Here, children play in the water, while adults seek coolness in the shade of trees.
The feeling of summer is especially vivid near city fountains. On sunny days, families with children, youth, passersby, and people wishing to enjoy the sun gather here, despite slight protection from it.
The photos reflect simple yet vibrant summer views around a large city fountain. Children play in the water, relax on blankets, young people ride scooters, and parents watch their children. Some passersby walk past the fountain, sheltering from the sun under awnings.
On such days, the fountain ceases to be just a city decoration; it transforms into a lively public space that brings people together. Here, children's laughter, the sound of water, greenery, and the usual rhythm of city life harmonize.
The shots taken in Tashkent demonstrate the sincere mood of a summer city: the lives of people seeking coolness on sunny days, water, sun, and children's joy.
Large-scale events aimed at supporting the population took place in the border areas of Uzunsky district in the Surkhondaryev region. Special attention was paid to studying social problems, providing practical assistance to residents, and strengthening patriotic feelings among young people.
As part of this event, a free medical examination was organized for the local population with the participation of doctors from the Termiz Military Hospital. Therapists, cardiologists, pediatricians, and other specialists checked the health status of citizens, provided treatment recommendations if necessary, and arranged additional medical examinations.
In addition, a mobile reception was held with the participation of heads of relevant organizations and industry officials, where appeals and suggestions from the public were heard. Many issues were resolved on the spot, while appeals requiring further study were passed on to responsible persons for implementation.
The culmination of the event was the military-patriotic festival, which took place throughout the day. Musical performances by the military band, demonstrations by servicemen, and concerts featuring artists created a festive atmosphere for the participants. The festival contributed to strengthening young people's feelings of love for the Motherland, national pride, and respect for military service.
These events demonstrated the effectiveness of efforts aimed at supporting the population living in border areas, improving their social protection, strengthening open dialogue with state institutions, and improving the standard of living.
As part of the 65th International Flower Festival in the Chust district of Namangan region, traditional days of 'Uzbek Palov Culture' and a plov cooking championship were organized.
Thanks to these events, held at the Mavlono Lutfulloh Botanical Garden, it became even livelier with visitors arriving from afar to watch the 'Plov Championship'. More than twenty amateur chefs from local mahallas, organizations, and institutions demonstrated their skills, hanging cauldrons and preparing plov in a specially designated area.
One of the important parts of the event was the ceremony of presenting a certificate from the Ministry of Justice stating that 'Chust Plov' has been included in the state register as a geographical indication. The assignment of a geographical indication status guarantees the legal protection of the name and the traditional preparation technology of 'Chust Plov'. Furthermore, this status confirms the product's compliance with state food standards and expands the possibilities for promoting the region's gastronomic brand internationally.
During the competition, the prepared plovs were evaluated based on taste, presentation, and other characteristics, after which the chefs received appropriate rewards.
