Businessman Nagib Saviris denied on Sunday media reports regarding the alleged construction of a sports stadium and event zone on the Giza plateau.
Through his official X account, Saviris stated that such claims were not made by him personally nor by representatives of his company. He responded to the circulating information about the possible development project for the area, noting: 'This is completely untrue and did not come from me or the company representatives.'
Saviris's comment followed press reports attributing to him the intention to erect a sports stadium and event zone in the Giza archaeological complex. These reports also indicated an injection of new investments amounting to ten million dollars into the development project of this area.
According to these reports, the new funds are intended to transform the Giza area into a multifunctional year-round center capable of hosting cultural, sporting events, as well as international concerts. Furthermore, it was reported that this funding supplements the pyramid development project, which began in 2018. According to the same sources, the company's total investment in this project will increase to approximately two billion Egyptian pounds, equivalent to about 41 million dollars.
