Uzbekistan's Investment Potential Presented in Sichuan Province

During a visit by employees of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan to the Puzian district of Jinhua city, meetings were held with the local administration's leadership, and negotiations took place within the framework of the Uzbek-Chinese business forum with representatives of major Chinese companies.

Discussion of Economic Cooperation

In the meeting with the district mayor Liu Ci, the parties discussed expanding economic ties and developing interregional cooperation. A Chinese representative noted that thanks to the efforts of the leaders of both countries, relations between Uzbekistan and China have reached the highest level, and he confirmed his readiness to support joint initiatives in areas of mutual interest.

The Uzbek side invited Liu Ci to visit Uzbekistan to further develop interregional cooperation. The Mayor of Puzian supported this idea and stated his readiness to organize a visit by a business delegation including representatives of leading enterprises in the district.

Investment Potential of Uzbekistan

As part of the business forum, representatives of state bodies, educational institutions, and more than 60 Chinese companies received information about Uzbekistan's investment potential, business conditions, economic reforms, and measures for economic liberalization to create a favorable investment climate. After the forum, participants discussed promising directions for cooperation and agreed to hold business missions for Chinese entrepreneurs in the regions of Uzbekistan.

Specific Production Plans

In separate negotiations with the management of Zhejiang Juyitang Garment Co., Ltd. and Zhejiang Pujiang Bohu Chain Co., Ltd., the possibility of establishing production facilities in Uzbekistan for textile products and protective chains for car tires was considered. Furthermore, Ni Bulun, chairman of Pujiang Jida Home Textile Co., Ltd., reported that the enterprise is studying the option of relocating part of its production capacity to Uzbekistan due to difficulties encountered in the company's operations in other countries. The parties agreed to arrange a visit by representatives of this company to Uzbekistan by the end of the current year.

On June 30, 2026, a round table was held in Muscat dedicated to the trade, economic, and investment opportunities of Uzbekistan. The event attracted representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman, the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, about thirty leading companies, and executives from other organizations.

Participation of Officials

Opening speeches at the event were delivered by Bakhmurojon Aloev, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan; Khalifa Al-Harthi, Deputy Secretary for Foreign Affairs of Oman; and Abdusalam Khatamov, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Muscat.

Presentation of Opportunities

During the round table, specific proposals were presented for expanding cooperation between Uzbekistan and Oman in the fields of trade, economy, and investment. Participants were also shown Uzbekistan's investment and tourism potential, as well as existing incentives and opportunities for foreign investors in the country.

Appointment of an Ambassador

As part of this round table, a certificate was presented appointing Siham Al-Harthi, Chairman of the Tourism Committee of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry and head of Siham Development and Investment, as the Tourism Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Sultanate of Oman.

As part of the strategy to diversify foreign economic relations, the Ministry of Investment, Industry, and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan organized the placement of a unified National Pavilion under the brand 'Made in Uzbekistan'. The ministry's leadership and specialists actively participated in the extensive business program of parallel forums and panel discussions.

On Uzbekistan's exhibition space, the investment and export potential of the republic was widely demonstrated. Visitors and foreign partners were presented with a wide range of competitive domestic products, mainly high-quality goods from the light and food industries.
